摘要： A surgical access apparatus includes an access member defining a longitudinal axis and having a longitudinal passageway for reception and passage of a surgical object and an access housing mountable to the access member. The access housing includes a diaphragm mounted thereto. The diaphragm is adapted for rotational movement about the longitudinal axis relative to the access housing. The diaphragm defines at least one internal pocket and has a seal assembly disposed within the internal pocket. The seal assembly has an interface seal member adapted for establishing a fluid tight seal about the surgical object. The seal assembly is adapted for selective movement within the pocket about multiple axes in response to manipulation of the surgical object.

摘要： An access apparatus for use in surgical procedures is provided. The access apparatus includes a control mechanism that is configured to control desufflation flow of the access apparatus. The control mechanism includes a valve in fluid communication with a longitudinal passage that is operably associated with the access apparatus. The valve includes one or more openings and a selectively movable mechanical interface that operably couples to the valve. The selectively movable mechanical interface is configured to alter desufflation flow when it is moved with respect to the valve and across the at least one opening.

摘要： A flexible port seal is provided for use in single incision surgery and includes an outer seal defining a bore extending from a proximal end of the outer seal to a distal end of the outer seal. A support plate is located within the bore of the outer seal and one or more throughports are attached to the support plate for receipt of a surgical instrument. The throughports form a fluid tight seal with cannulas and/or surgical instruments inserted through the throughports. The flexible port seal is formed of a compressible or flexible material to facilitate insertion through the single incision in the patient and allow for movement of the surgical instruments relative to the seal to independently orient each of the surgical instruments.

摘要： The present disclosure relates to devices, systems and methods for endoscopic suturing or stitching through an access tube or the like. An endoscopic stitching device is provided and includes a handle assembly; an elongate shaft supported by and extending from the handle assembly; and an end effector supported on a distal end of the elongate shaft. The end effector includes a neck assembly configured and adapted for articulation in one direction between a substantially linear configuration and an off-axis configuration, and a pair of juxtaposed jaws pivotally associated with one another. Each jaw defines a suture needle receiving recess formed in a tissue contacting surface thereof.

摘要： A surgical apparatus for positioning within a tissue tract accessing an underlying body cavity includes a seal anchor member comprising a compressible material and being adapted to transition between a first expanded condition to facilitate securing of the seal anchor member within the tissue tract and in substantial sealed relation with tissue surfaces defining the tissue tract and a second compressed condition to facilitate at least partial insertion of the seal anchor member within the tissue tract. The seal anchor member defines a longitudinal axis, and has leading and trailing ends with at least one longitudinal port extending therebetween adapted for reception of an object whereby compressible material defining the at least one port is adapted to deform to establish a substantial sealed relation with the object. The seal anchor member may comprise a memory foam material and may include a plurality of longitudinal ports.

摘要： An access assembly including an anti-collapsing structure is provided. The access assembly includes a compressible body having first and second ends and a central portion extending therebetween. The compressible body defines at least a first lumen configured to receive an instrument in a sealing manner. The access assembly further includes an anti-collapsing structure extending at least partially between the proximal and distal ends of the compressible body. The anti-collapsing structure is configured to permit compression of the compressible body during insertion into an incision and return the compressible body to an uncompressed condition following insertion.
