    Abstract: A socket for electrically connecting a first electrical component, the upper surface of which is pressed upon by a pressing member, and a second electrical component which is positioned below the first electrical component, said socket being equipped with: a socket main body which has a placement surface on which the first electrical component is placed; and a holding part which is provided to the socket main body, holds the first electrical component to the socket main body by engaging the first electrical component in a pressed state in which the first electrical component is pressed upon by the pressing member, and releases the engagement with the first electrical component when the pressing member moves a prescribed distance away from the position which corresponds to the pressed state.

    Abstract: An electric component socket in which a pressing member is not brought into contact with the tip end of the a contact pin when the socket is pressed by the pressing member in a state where an electric component is not housed in the socket. The electric component socket is provided with a movable plate supported so as to move vertically, a floating plate that is provided above the movable plate and houses the electric component, and a movable spacer that protrudes upward from an upper surface of the movable plate. The electric component socket is configured so that the movable plate is thereby moved downward, thereby enabling the regulating section of the movable plate to move the contact pin downward when the movable spacer is moved downward.

    Abstract: A substrate reinforcing structure for preventing and suppressing deformation or the like of a substrate with a fixed electric component socket.A first reinforcing plate in, for example, a frame shape is attached to a back surface of a wiring board. Further, a second reinforcing plate in, for example, a flat shape is provided on a back side of the first reinforcing plate. In a preferred embodiment of the present invention, a first insulating sheet is further provided between the wiring board and the first reinforcing plate, and a spacer is provided on the second reinforcing plate and abutted to a part of the wiring board where contact pins do not protrude.     Abstract: For an electrical component socket including a socket base having a frame shape to which a contact module is to be inserted and attached from below, an embodiment has an objective to allow contact pins to be in contact with a circuit board with stability. The electrical component socket is configured such that the upper-side plate is caused to ascend to an uppermost position by elastic force of urging means in a state where the contact module is not attached to the socket base.     Abstract: Provided is an electric contact with a stable electric resistance value. An insertion rod portion passing through a coil spring is provided on a first contact member, and a cylindrical portion in which a part of the insertion rod portion passing through the coil spring is provided on a second contact member. A tilt mechanism tilts the second contact member to bring the insertion rod portion into contact with the cylindrical portion. This can stabilize the electric resistance value. A reduced diameter portion in which the diameter decreases with an increase in the distance from the cylindrical portion is formed at least near a tip of the insertion rod portion. This can suppress changes in the contact pressure of the cylindrical portion and the insertion rod portion to make expansion and contraction operation smooth.

    Abstract: To provide an electric component socket in which a pressing surface of a pressing member is prevented from contacting a contact pin when the socket is pressed by the pressing surface in a state where a first electric component is not housed in the socket. A pressing surface of a pressing mechanism contacts a first electric component when the pressing mechanism is moved downward in a state where the first electric component is housed in a plate. On the other hand, when the pressing mechanism is moved downward in a state where the first electric component is not housed in the plate, a push-up member is lifted up with the plate to push up the pressing surface. Therefore, the pressing surface is moved upward to prevent the pressing surface from contacting the contact pin.
