    摘要: Film transport apparatus for a cine-video system in which video signals are produced from film that is driven between supply and take-up reels. The film, which may be wound in A or B configuration on each reel, is threaded automatically about a film drive mechanism which transports the film from the supply reel, through a film gate to the take-up reel. Tensioning apparatus imparts tension to the film at the entry and exit of the film gate which, during the threading operation, causes the respective reels to rotate before film actually is transported therebetween. The direction in which each reel rotates to unwind film therefrom when tension is imparted serves to identify whether the film is wound in A or B configuration. Advantageously, a programmable processor controls the film transport speed in response to a user-actuated knob; and this same processor serves to detect when the film approaches its end on the supply or take-up reel.

    摘要: An apparatus for generating video signals from a photographic image previously recorded on film (a cine-video system) which includes a film transport mechanism for advancing or rewinding the film in order to position a film frame at a film gate for projection, an image projector which detects when a film frame is positioned at the film gate and projects an illuminated image of that frame, a video pickup system which receives the image and generates a video signal which represents it, and an output circuit which produces a resultant output video signal. A window generating capability provides for optional enhancement of the video signal within a user-selectable range of video signal values. One or more cursors may be superimposed on the video image, and measurements to determine the distance between two such cursors may be performed. A “Hi-line” output video signal containing twice the standard number of scan lines is generated, as is a NTSC standard output video signal and a “D-2” standard digital output video signal. Advantageously, the cine-video system is implemented as a digital system, under the control of a programmable, digital signal processor.

    摘要: A process for forming T-shaped metal contacts on a dielectric substrate. The process includes deposition of first and second photoresist layers onto a substrate; individually overall electron beam exposure of both layers; with subsequent imagewise UV exposure and development of both layers to form hollow cavities in the layers. By concentrating the electron beam radiation on the mid-point in the thickness of each photoresist layer, the radiation is distributed throughout each layer, resulting in solubility properties which lead to the formation of hollow cavities of a certain desired shape. In one embodiment of the invention, three-dimensional structures are formed in the photoresist layers by filling the hollow cavities with metal. Subsequent removal of unwanted portions of the photoresist layers produces a dielectric substrate having T-shaped metal contacts on its surface.
