摘要: This disclosure describes examples of a filter media for use in filter devices, e.g., pulse filter cartridges found in power generating systems. Embodiments of the filter media include a base media and a membrane, which partially covers one or both sides of the base media. In one embodiment, the membrane covers a membrane area of at least one side of the base media, wherein the membrane area is less than a total area of the side on which the membrane is disposed.

摘要: An article comprising a microporous membrane. A first porous fabric is laminated to a first side of the microporous membrane. A second porous fabric is laminated to a second opposite side of the microporous membrane to form a laminate with the membrane and the first porous fabric. The laminate has two fabric sides separated by the microporous membrane. A treatment material is applied to the laminate to form a treated laminate. The treated laminate has an oil resistance of at least a number 7 determined by AATCC 118 testing on both fabric sides and has an air permeability through the treated laminate of at least 0.01 CFM per square foot determined by ASTM D737 testing.

摘要: This disclosure describes embodiments of an air treatment apparatus that stimulates formation of large moisture droplets from small moisture droplets found in air flowing in power generating systems to a turbo-machine. In one example, the embodiments generate a field that promotes contact between the smaller moisture droplets. This contact can increase the size of moisture droplets to facilitate condensation of moisture out of the air.

摘要: Certain embodiments of the invention may include filters, systems, and methods for reducing can velocity. According to an example embodiment, a filter is provided for filtering particles from air or fluid. The filter includes a first end and a second end, wherein the first end includes an aperture; one or more sections of pleated filter media including a plurality of pleats formed in a substantially conical shape about an axis and around an inner void region in communication with the aperture, wherein a diameter associated with the first end aperture is greater than a diameter associated with the second end; and one or more radial support regions in circumferential contact with at least one of an outer surface of the filter media, wherein spacing of at least some of the plurality of pleats are maintained at least in part by the one or more radial support regions.

摘要: A process and an associated assembly for supporting a porous media during a treatment which exposes the media to a fluid that modifies at least one property of the media. The assembly includes a supporting core. The media is wrapped in a plurality of layers about the core to form a first roll of the media. The assembly includes first securement mechanisms exerting diametrical pressure on the ends of the first roll to prevent fluid flow axially out of the ends of the first roll. An additional amount of the media is being wrapped in a plurality of layers about the first roll to form a second roll of the media. The assembly includes second securement mechanisms exerting diametrical pressure on the ends of the second roll to prevent fluid flow axially out of the ends of the second roll. The assembly may be part of equipment.

The method also includes the step of bonding the fine fibers to form a membrane layer on the textile.
