摘要: For an electrolytic cell, an apparatus and method are described that use one or more sensors to measure magnetic field strength about a conductor carrying electrical current. A processor is in electrical communication with the sensors and determines a compensated magnetic field strength based on the magnetic fields of other conductors that also carry electrical current to or from the electrolytic cell. The processor uses this compensated magnetic field strength to determine the cathode electrical current carried by the conductor and to identify open and short circuits between the anodes and cathodes of the cell. The described apparatus and method account for interactions between the magnetic fields of the neighboring cathodes.

摘要: A system, device, and method include a cell-powered first electronic device powered using electrical potential imposed across an electrolytic cell. The potential is voltage-boosted to accomplish this task. If the electrical potential imposed the cell is insufficient, the device can also be battery-powered. In any event, this device is in communication with one or more sensors in the electrolytic cell, as well as a second electronic device, and the first and second electronic devices wirelessly communicate. More specifically, the first electronic device wireless transmits data signals to the second electronic device, which receives the same. The first and second electronic devices are physically remote from one another, and they communicating over a private or public network, preferably using spread spectrum technology. In addition, the second electronic device also preferably transmits data signals to a computer for further processing of the data signals, and these arrangements can be used, for example, when producing copper.

摘要: A method of speech to DTMF generation involving ASR-enabled and DTMF-controlled communications systems. The ASR-enabled system is used to recognize speech received from the DTMF-controlled telecommunications system using sampling rate independent speech recognition. It then identifies a speech segment contained in the speech received from the DTMF-controlled system that corresponds with at least one keyword associated with user-defined data. Then, the ASR-enabled system transmits at least one DTMF signal to the DTMF-controlled system in response to the identified speech segment. This allows a user of an ASR-enabled system such as a vehicle telematics unit to at least partially automate access to the DTMF-controlled system using the telematics unit, so that voice mailbox numbers, passwords, and the like normally entered via a telephone keypad can be automatically sent to the DTMF-controlled system from the telematics unit without having to be manually input each time by the user.

摘要: A method and system for building/updating grammars in voice access systems is disclosed. The method includes receiving a grammar update request from a voice access system, retrieving data, filtering the data and providing the filtered data to the voice access system. The grammar update request identifies a navigation context of a user interface provided by a data system. The user interface provides access to information in the data system. The data is retrieved from the data system and pertains to the navigation context. The filtering is performed to obtain filtered data pertaining to user interface (UI) objects enabled for grammar updates.

摘要: A refractive optical system may be a collimator, focusing optical system, reducer, or expander and includes an entrance optical element, an exit optical element, and a volume disposed between the entrance and exit optical elements. The volume is configured to have an index of refraction that is insensitive to changes in atmospheric conditions of the ambient environment. A surface of curvature of an input surface of the entrance optical element is parallel to a wavefront curvature of an input light beam and an output surface of the exit optical element is parallel to a wavefront curvature of an exit light beam. Accordingly, the wavefront curvature of the exit light beam is insensitive to the ambient environment permitting the production and operation environments to change without a change to the performance of the optical system.

摘要: Skipping ropes are described with angled handles. One usually longer portion (1) is held between palm and fingers. A second portion (2) is angled and has a swivel mounted rope (5) projecting from its end. When skipping, the hands can be held with the palms facing the skipper's thighs, but with the rope ends pointing outwards. This is a more comfortable skipping position than the customary one with the hands splayed outwards.

摘要: A method (and structure) of capturing dialog on a computer network includes, based on an initial access request to a first network node, establishing contact with an intermediary node so that a subsequent dialog is directed through the intermediary node. A request inbound to the first network node is directed to the intermediary node. A response outbound from the first network node that responds to the inbound request is also directed to the intermediary node.
