    摘要: A fueling nozzle for pressurized fuel systems having a body connectable to a tank inlet. The body includes an axially displaceable valve movable between a closed retracted position and an extended open position. Connection of the body to the tank inlet occurs upon rotation of the connection sleeve and positioning of the valve is achieved by a rotatable cam sleeve having a cam slot in which a valve-mounted follower is located. An interlock senses mounting of the body on the tank inlet permitting rotation of the connection sleeve in a locking direction and upon the connection sleeve being fully rotated to a locked condition a second interlock permits rotation of the cam sleeve and valve movement from the closed to the open position. The nozzle is characterized by reduced flow resistance characteristics and safe operation.

    摘要: The invention relates to a self-aligning couling for connecting laboratory animal cages to a drinking water supply. A male coupling is attached to a grommet assembly at the back of the cage and a female coupling is assembled to a fluid supply manifold at the back of a shelf located so that when the cage is placed on the shelf and translated to the rear the male coupling will automatically conect to the female coupling and water supply. The grommet assembly allows the male coupling to be self-aligning in angular and radial directions to facilitate coupling.

    摘要: A catheter check valve assembly has a body member with a wall defining a generally cylindrical chamber and a transverse wall having an aperture lying on the axis of such chamber. A duckbill valve and an end cap supporting a catheter are positioned on one side of the transverse wall. A separator has a major portion positioned in said cylindrical chamber and an elongated cylindrical probe extending from said major portion. The separator is axially moveable from a retracted position where the probe is out of contact with the duckbill valve to a forward position extending through and opening the duckbill valve. A trocar may be extended through the catheter check valve assembly when the separator is in the forward position.

    摘要: The invention pertains to a valve particularly suitable for sampling internal combustion engine lubricating oil while under pressure being used within the engine and consists of a valve body placed within a pressurized oil conduit. The body includes an orifice having a valve movable between open and closed positions by a sample collecting receptacle wherein one hand operation is readily achieved. The valve includes a proboscis suitable for piercing the sample receptacle diaphragm, and a spring produces a positive biasing force on the valve toward the closed position. A pressure balancing piston connected to the valve balances the force necessary for valve operation due to internal pressure. A removable cover protects the valve and proboscis when not in use.

    摘要: A no-spill fluid security system for couplings for use with fluids producing environmental impact wherein the coupling permits unidirectional flow for consumer use and bidirectional flow to permit the refilling of containers with specially designed mating coupling parts. The primary coupling part includes a valve located adjacent the primary part end to prevent spillage and a normally operative check valve prevents fluid flow into the primary coupling part while a secondary coupling part of special construction opens the normally closed check valve permitting unidirectional flow through the primary part. Pressure relief means are incorporated into the primary part to permit trapped fluids within an uncoupled primary part to be bled into the associated receptacle upon a predetermined pressure existing to prevent spillage.
