Abstract:
A process for forming an absorbent sanitary article of the type including a pad having a direction of main extension, including a step of at least one absorbent core of the absorbent article by layering a corresponding composite web, a step of preparing a succession of hollows in the composite web obtained by removing for each hollow a corresponding portion of the composite web and a step of applying the portions removed on the composite web.
Abstract:
A pocket, to form particulate material as absorbent for hygienic products, includes: a substrate shaped to the absorbent padding; a grid-shaped support, couplable to support the substrate during suction of the particulate material through the substrate and includes a curved external face, an internal face, a pair of greater side faces and a pair of lesser side faces that are opposite one another, openings enable gas to flow from the external face to the internal face during suction. A method for making the pocket includes making at least one of the external openings of a different shape and/or dimension from one of the internal openings, and making the external walls and the internal walls by layer additive manufacturing.
Abstract:
A crushing mill for crushing fibrous material for a unit for forming absorbent cores in a machine which makes absorbent sanitary articles, including a casing having an infeed opening and an outfeed opening for the fibrous material, a rotor rotatable about its axis of rotation and housed in the casing at an intermediate position between the infeed opening and the outfeed opening. Also provided is an auxiliary opening operatively interposed between the infeed opening and the outfeed opening, with reference to a direction of rotation of the rotor, and adapted to allow feeding a particulate absorbent material into an intermediate zone between the infeed opening and the outfeed opening.
Abstract:
An apparatus for distributing particulate material on a conveyor movable along a respective operating direction includes: a tank containing particulate material and equipped with feed means for feeding the particulate material; and distribution means located downstream of the tank to receive the particulate material and the particulate material on the conveyor. The distribution means include a diffuser element and a vibrating device to shake the diffuser element. The diffuser element extends with its sliding plane along its axis between an infeed portion to receive a preset flow quantity “Q” of particulate material, and an outfeed portion. The diffuser element includes a transversal partition at a predetermined distance from the sliding plane to form a neck which acts in combination with a vibration imparted by the vibrating device to distribute the particulate material along a predetermined width of the outfeed portion.
Abstract:
A unit for making absorbent pads for nappies including a forming drum by which the absorbent pad is formed and in turn including on its peripheral surface one or more suction recesses; at least one hood for feeding the absorbent material and peripherally facing at least part of the peripheral surface of the drum; and a duct which leads to the hood and which can intermittently feed predetermined charges of a superabsorbent material; the feeding duct is configured in such a way that the flow of superabsorbent material fed into the hood expands until reaching an extent corresponding to the longitudinal extension of the at least one discrete layer of the absorbent pad.
Abstract:
A method for forming an absorbent pad including a first layer, a second layer and an absorbent material interposed between the first and the second layer and arranged according to a spreading pattern M1 having at least one channel which is free of absorbent material, includes a step of feeding a first web, intended to form the first layer of the pad; a step of feeding a second web, intended to form the second layer of the pad; a step of spreading the absorbent material on the first web according to the spreading pattern M1; a step of joining the first and second webs, a step of removing any absorbent material that may be present in the channel.
Abstract:
A method for making absorbent sanitary articles whereby each absorbent article is provided with at least one pair of side tabs. The method includes the steps of feeding a single continuous web with a longitudinal axis towards at least one cutting station where the continuous web is divided, by a succession of cuts transverse to the longitudinal axis, into a first and a second series of side tabs, each of which has an asymmetrical shape and separately applying each rotated side tab of the first series and each side tab of the second series along a continuous strip of a material for making the absorbent articles, in such a way that each rotated tab of the first series is juxtaposed with a respective tab of the second series to define a respective pair of side tabs.
Abstract:
A machine for making absorbent sanitary articles which includes an absorbent pad in turn including one or more absorbent materials; the machine includes a line for feeding at least one continuous web of impermeable material and at least one unit for forming and applying a succession of absorbent pads along the continuous web of impermeable material and a device for detecting at least one between the weight, density profile (or weight profile) parameters of at least one of the absorbent materials defining the absorbent pad the detecting device including at least one microwave resonator.
Abstract:
A unit for forming absorbent sanitary articles including a drum rotatable about its axis of rotation and having a circumferential peripheral surface movable along a feed direction, first feeding means for feeding a succession of pairs of panels of material facing the circumferential peripheral surface and configured to position each pair in such a way that the respective two panels are facing each other and transversely aligned with the feed direction and second feeding means for feeding a continuous web of material suitable for defining at least part of the main body of an absorbent sanitary article, and configured to position the web on the circumferential peripheral surface of the drum in such a way that each panel projects partly sideways from the web. The unit comprises an ultrasonic sealing station located along the circumferential peripheral surface of the drum, in a zone located operatively downstream of the second feeding means, and configured to attach each panel of the pair to the web at at least one plurality of sealing points arranged in succession along the feed direction.
