Abstract: Methods, systems and vehicles are provided for controlling a wireless application provided to a wireless device over a wireless network. One or more radio frequency (RF) parameters of the wireless device in the wireless network are triggered by the wireless application. One or more sensors generate sensor data of the wireless device in the wireless network. A processor at least facilitates determining whether an adjustment is appropriate for the wireless device in the wireless device to mitigate interference from wireless signals outside the wireless network, based on the sensor data, wherein the determination as to whether an adjustment is appropriate is based at least on part on whether the wireless application is being utilized for the wireless device in the wireless network; and adjusting, via instructions provided by the processor, a sensitivity of a receiver of the wireless device, based on the determination that the adjustment is appropriate.

Abstract: An occupant detection system for determining a unique position of a detected presence within an interior cabin area of a vehicle includes a plurality of signal conversion devices each including conversion circuitry. Each of the plurality of signal conversion devices are assigned to a specific position within the interior cabin area of the vehicle. The conversion circuitry for the plurality of signal conversion devices include unique sub-carrier frequency that corresponds to the unique position within the interior cabin area of the vehicle. The occupant detection system includes a wireless control module including a multi-band transceiver having a first transceiver configured to transmit and receive signals on a first frequency band and a second transceiver configured to transmit and receive signals on a second frequency band.

The wireless control module compares original training symbols from the signals on the first frequency band with training symbols from the signals on the second frequency band to determine a change in value of in one or more channel state information (CSI) parameters, and determines one or more occupants are present within the interior cabin area of the vehicle based on the change in one or more CSI parameters.

Abstract: A method for use aboard a motor vehicle or other mobile system having a multi-core communication chipset includes scanning a radio frequency spectrum to identify candidate access points (APs) operating in a frequency band of the communication chipset, e.g., 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz. The method includes selecting one of the candidate APs as a first AP for connection to a primary station of the chipset. In response to a secondary station (STA-2) of the chipset being connected to an external AP on the same frequency band as the first AP, the method includes automatically disconnecting the secondary station (STA-2), then connecting the first AP to the primary station. Another candidate AP is connected to the secondary station as a second AP. The method may include simultaneously communicating with the first and second APs via the primary and secondary stations, respectively.
