    Abstract: Methods, systems, and media for searching for video content are provided. In some embodiments, the method comprises: receiving one or more characters entered into a first query field by a user; determining a predicted search query based on the one or more received characters; determining a plurality of suggested search queries based on the one or more received characters; causing the predicted search query to be presented in the first query field and at least a portion of the plurality of suggested search query to be presented in a second query field, wherein the predicted search query is combined with the one or more received characters in the first query field; searching a database of videos based on the predicted search query; causing a plurality of video content items from the database of videos responsive to the predicted search query to be presented; and causing, without user interaction, a first video content item from the plurality of video content items to be played back.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and media for presenting caption information based on volume setting adjustments are provided. The method comprises: during playback of a video content item in a media playback application, causing a volume interface that corresponds to the media playback application to be presented, wherein the volume interface includes a lowest volume setting and a caption interface element; determining that a first user selection has been received that causes the volume interface to be at the lowest volume setting of the volume interface; in response to determining that the first user selection has been received, causing the video content item being presented in the media playback application to be in a mute state in which audio content associated with the video content item is muted, updating the volume interface by positioning a highlight region over the lowest volume setting, and presenting a contextual interface element that indicates the mute state of the media playback application; determining that a second user selection has been received that corresponds with decreasing volume of the audio content associated with the video content item while the video content item being presented in the media playback application is in a mute state; and, in response to determining that the second user selection has been received, updating the volume interface by positioning the highlight region over the caption interface element, presenting the contextual interface element that indicates a caption state of the media playback application, and causing caption information associated with the video content item to be presented.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and media for object grouping and manipulation in immersive environments are provided. The method comprises: displaying a plurality of video objects in an immersive environment; detecting, via a first input, that a first video object has been virtually positioned over a second video object; in response to detecting that the first video object has been virtually positioned over the second video object, generating a group video object that includes the first video object and the second video object, wherein the group video object includes a handle interface element for interacting with the group video object and a selectable indicator that represents the first video object and the second video object; displaying the group video object along with the handle interface element and the selectable indicator with one or more remaining video objects in the immersive environment, wherein the group video object replaces the first video object and the second video object within the immersive environment; and, in response to detecting a selection of the selectable indicator, displaying a user interface for interacting with the group video object.

    Abstract: A video item is provided for playback at a media player executing at a user device. The media player is logically divided into multiple sections. An indication of a touch gesture made by a user with respect to a touchscreen of the user device is received. Whether the touch gesture with respect to the touchscreen of the user device qualifies as a first predetermined touch gesture is determined. The first predetermined touch gesture is within a portion of a user interface (UI) that is includes in a first section of the media player. Responsive to determining the touch gesture with respect to the touchscreen of the user device qualifies as the first predetermined gesture, the playback of the video item is moved from a first point in time to a second point in time by a predetermined amount of time.
