    Abstract: Apparatus and methods for delivering medicament to a patient. The apparatus may include elements with different capacities to attenuate or absorb sterilizing radiation. The apparatus may include a medicament delivery assembly with interactive elements for dose-setting, priming and medicament ejection. The assembly may include a chamber housing a radiation-sensitive medicament present in the apparatus during sterilization by electron beam. The assembly may include an actuator chassis, a drive mechanism, a needle-priming mechanism and a fluid-displacement mechanism including a fluid-displacement member. The chassis may be fixed, relative to an outlet, to the chamber. The member may be slidingly and/or threadingly engaged with the chassis, and may be configured to move relative to the outlet to deliver the medicament through the outlet. Assembly elements may be nested coaxially and/or stacked axially. The assembly may include at least one hollow region. The hollow region may reduce beam attenuation or reduce radiation absorption.

The stopper may have one or more elongated members extending from a base, in a direction that is parallel to a central axis of the base. One or more of the members may be set radially away from the axis and define a coaxial central well. The member or members may define a void. The elongated member or members may engage a device inner wall and support the base away from the opening. The void may provide gas exchange between a device interior and a device exterior. The gas may be a lyophilization byproduct that escapes from the device interior between the inner wall, the base and the member or members. The stopper may be advanced into the device to seal the opening.

    Abstract: Apparatus and methods for delivering medicament. The apparatus may include a fitting for a fluid dispenser. The fitting may include a detent that is configured to limit insertion of the dispenser into the fitting by contacting a terminal surface of the dispenser; and a seal for sealing against the surface. The apparatus may include an insert for the fitting. The insert may include a gasket to seal against the terminal surface of the dispenser; a proximal rim to engage a lateral wall of the dispenser; and a connector fixed to the gasket and the rim. The apparatus may include a coupler to engage a pre-filled dispenser; and a body defining a passageway that is configured to be placed in fluid communication with the dispenser. The apparatus may include a dispenser that includes a detent and a seal. The detent may limit insertion of the dispenser into a fitting.
