摘要: An apparatus and method for servicing a combustion liner in a combustion case of a turbine is provided. The apparatus includes an elongated bar having a handle at one end and a force applying member at an opposing end of the elongated bar. An attachment member is configured for attachment to a flange of the combustion case. The attachment member is also configured for pivotal attachment to the elongated bar. The apparatus is configured to apply a radially outward force on a downstream portion of the combustion liner when a radially inward force is applied to the handle.

In some cases, the apparatus includes: a system for servicing a turbomachine casing having adjacent segments joined with a set of threaded fasteners, the system including: a threaded fastener tensioning device sized to fit over ends of a threaded fastener in the set of threaded fasteners, the threaded fastener tensioning device including: a retention component for retaining a first end of the threaded fastener; and a tensioner for tensioning or de-tensioning a second end of the threaded fastener; and a mounting system coupled with the threaded fastener tensioning device, the mounting system for retaining the threaded fastener tensioning device proximate the adjacent segments of the turbomachine casing.

摘要: Methods of replacing flex seals in exhaust frames of turbine systems are disclosed. The method may include removing a section of an outer casing of an exhaust frame to form an opening within the outer casing. The section may be formed within a flow path of the exhaust frame. The method may also include removing the flex seal from the exhaust frame via the opening formed within the outer casing, inserting a distinct flex seal within the exhaust frame via the opening formed within the outer casing, and covering the opening formed within the outer casing of the exhaust frame.

The service apparatus is selectively transitionable between a stowed position in which the service apparatus is rotatable with the rotor and an extended position in which the service apparatus is extended toward the stator. The service apparatus also includes at least one maintenance device coupled to the carriage assembly. The at least one maintenance device is operable to perform a maintenance operation on a surface of the stator with the service apparatus in the extended position.

摘要: An alignment system and method for aligning the shaft centerline of rotating equipment positioned on opposing roller stands are provided. The system includes a laser transmission unit on the first stand and a target unit on the second stand. The laser transmission unit includes a laser that transmits a laser beam to a target on the target unit. When the laser beam contacts the center of the target, the roller stands are aligned. The system may be automated to detect the position of the laser beam relative to the target center and to adjust, as needed, the position of one of or both the roller stands using hydraulic cylinders coupled to a roller stand platform. The system and method reduce the time, effort, and manpower required to perform the alignment.

Also, a turbomachine having complementary structure on the compressor discharge casing can engage with the at least one base plate alignment mounting structure on the portable jig and fixture.
