A technique is disclosed for displaying monitoring data of a continuously varying operation condition of a drive mechanism driven by an actuator, in which data of one operation cycle of the drive mechanism is detected preliminarily as reference data and data for another operation cycle succeeding to the one operation cycle is detected. The last-detected data is then superposed on the reference data and displayed on a coordinate axis on a monitor to show deviation between the reference data and the detected data of each operation cycle. Allowable uppermost and lowermost limit data of the reference data are also calculated and displayed on the same coordinate axis of the displaying surface of the monitor.

In a method of and apparatus for controlling a plasticizing process of a resin of an in-line screw-type injection molding machine, a position of the screw is continuously detected in accordance with the movement thereof and a control function is determined by a back pressure of the screw which is compensated for by taking into consideration such as resin heating energy and shearing energy, which determine a temperature distribution of a resin to be injected. The operating condition, particularly the number of revolutions and the back pressure of the screw, is controlled on the basis of the screw position so as to make uniform the temperature distribution of the resin.

An apparatus for supervising an injection stroke of an injection machine of the type wherein injection parameters are detected at a number of points in a filling stroke, and detected parameters are sequentially sampled at a plurality of points over the entire filling stroke, the filling stroke is divided into a plurality of regions, and the injection parameters measured in respective divided regions are judged as to whether the parameters can produce satisfactory products or not. Such parameters are used as reference values and sequentially sampled parameters are subtracted by the reference values. The differences are accumulated for respective regions and when accumulated differences exceed predetermined permissible values an alarm signal is issued.

The upper allowance data is then compared with injection pressure data acquired using a multipoint sampling technique during a second injection molding cycle and an alarm is issued if the data acquired in the second injection molding cycle exceeds the upper allowance data.

A reactive polymer-supporting porous film is provided as a battery separator which comprises a porous substrate film and a partially crosslinked reactive polymer supported on the porous substrate film. The partially crosslinked reactive polymer is obtained by the reaction of a crosslinkable polymer having at least one group selected from the 3-oxetanyl group and epoxy group reactive with a polycarboxylic acid. The reactive polymer-supporting porous film has a separator and electrodes sufficiently bonded to each other and with low inner resistance suitably used for production of battery excellent in high rate performance. Further, provided is a method of producing a battery which comprises placing the electrode/reactive polymer-supporting porous film layered body in a battery container; introducing an electrolytic solution containing a cationic polymerization catalyst into the battery container thereby bonding the porous film and electrodes together.
