摘要: A method and apparatus for cleaning a hearing aid provides a housing having a motor drive and speed control. A rotary chamber is mounted to the housing and driven by the motor drive. A drive shaft can be provided connecting the motor drive and the rotary chamber. The rotary chamber has a wall with at least one receptacle for holding a hearing aid. The rotary chamber can have two openings, one for a hearing aid and a second opening for another hearing aid or a counterweight. The rotary chamber can be counterweighted to compensate for the weight of a single hearing aid or any other arrangements of multiple hearing aids. Each receptacle is configured to hold a hearing aid. The motor drive is powered sufficiently to rotate the hearing aid at the speed of between about 2800 and 3200 rpm in order to generate a G-force on the hearing aid of about 270 G's. Preferably, the motor drive rotates at a rotational speed sufficient to remove earwax, rotation lasting for a period of time of between about 5 and 45 (preferably 18-22) seconds.

摘要: A rectilinear folded and glued container with tiered shelves has multiple shelf panels cut out of a front panel with which the shelf panels, and main container front, side and back panels are integrally connected. The container has an internally placed shelf-raising panel that is attached to the shelf panels as part of a fold and glue processing technique that produces a knocked down flat container to be erected. The shelf raising panel preferably is an integral panel that is separate from the main container panels so as to be relatively movable, and is affixed to the shelf panels. Displacing or translating the shelf-raising panel during erection of the container from its knocked-down-flat configuration articulates the shelves into position. The shelf raising panel can be captured between top and bottom ends of the erected container, thus fixing the erected container and articulated shelves in a rigid shape.

摘要: A field reconfigurable muxponder for use in an optical transport system. The muxponder includes one or more tributary cards, where each tributary card is adapted to receive an optical data signal and conditions the optical data signal into an intermediate data signal constituted in accordance with a tributary interface format. In this way, the muxponder is able to aggregate optical data signals having different protocols and/or different data rates. The muxponder further includes a chassis that is adapted to receive a predefined number of tributary cards and outputs an optical system signal independently from the availability of the optical data signals from the tributary cards. The tributary cards and the chassis integrally form one line card.

摘要: A networking appliance includes a chassis, an off-the-shelf motherboard mounted on said chassis, said motherboard including at least one expansion bus, one or more separately removable expansion module mounted on said chassis, and a number of card slots in the expansion module for accommodating expansion cards. A connection arrangement provides a signal connection between the card slots in the expansion modules and the expansion buses.

摘要: In the reporting system disclosed herein, a speech recognizer is used to select sections of text from a report form stored in a computer and to insert recognized terms in the text thereby to generate a report text under voice control. A command interpreter, also responsive to spoken words, initiates creation of the report text and its subsequence storing, printing and transmission. The command processor is responsive to respective spoken commands to select a destination telephone number and to cause the report text to be sent to apparatus for converting report text to image data and for modulating an audio band signal with the image data for facsimile transmission over telephone lines.

摘要: A system for recovering a clock signal from a data signal is described. The system uses an oscillator adapted to generate an oscillator output signal, a first detecting circuit for obtaining a coarse frequency-lock condition between the data signal and a recovered clock signal, a second detecting circuit for obtaining a phase-locked condition between the data signal and the recovered clock signal, a lock-detecting circuit responsive to the first detecting circuit for detecting an out-of-lock condition between the data signal and the recovered clock signal, and a control circuit responsive to the lock-detecting circuits and adapted to control the oscillator to generate an oscillator output signal on the basis of the first detecting circuit during an out-of-lock condition, and otherwise to generate the oscillator output signal on the basis of the second detecting circuit. The advantages include a much wider pull-in range for frequency acquisition, and an accurate and robust measure of a quality of received data.
