    摘要: The invention relates to a lighting system with a high-pressure discharge lamp and a control unit (W, FS, C1, W) for the high-pressure discharge lamp (1), where the lamp base (10) has at least two housing parts (10a, 10b) which are connected to one another by a releasable closure (22). The first housing part (10a) has fastening means (24) for the at least one lamp vessel (11). The high-voltage part (TR) of the ignition device (TR, FS, C1) is accommodated in the first housing part (10a), whilst the second housing part (10b) is provided with the electrical connections (20) for the high-pressure discharge lamp (1) and preferably contains the remaining components (FS, C1) of the ignition device and the voltage converter (W) of the control unit.

    摘要: An optical connection between an optoelectronic structural element and a fiber-optic beam waveguide is described which is reliable, simple, and space-saving. A lens and a hollow cylinder are integrated in the structural component of optoelectronic structural elements. Each end of a fiber-optic beam waveguide is inserted into the hollow cylinders, and the optoelectronic structural elements are connected with the aid of a heat-shrinkable tubing with the fiber-optic beam waveguide such that the ends of the light beam waveguide to be coupled abut each of the lens integrated into the optoelectronic structural elements. An optocoupler according to the invention may be advantageously used in motor vehicles, in electromedicine, in power electronics, in robot control, in sensory analysis, and in "instrumentaion-control-regulation" tasks.

    摘要: To provide for automatic switch-over between a power phase and a holding se in operation of a discharge lamp (EL), a choke or ballast coil (L), serially connected to the discharge lamp, is constructed to have, with respect to current flow therethrough, a non-linear reactance value; the choke or ballast coil is wound on a core which, for example, can be a E-core in which the center leg is of reduced cross-section with respect to the outer legs; or, if one is a torroidal coil on a ring core, the ring core is preferably made of two core elements of different magnetic characteristics, connected together, for example by an adhesive, in which one core element is of low permeability material, such as iron powder or permaloy with high saturation magnetization, and a second core is formed of ferrite with low saturation magnetization. Current flow through the coil and the serially connected lamp is controlled by alternately operating switch elements (S1, S2), typically insulated gate bipolar transistors, to supply power bursts of, for example, between 20 and 30 A during a second operating phase, separated by a first operating phase of between 0.3 A and 0.5 A at a substantially higher frequency than the frequency of the power bursts, and lasting 10 to 30 times as long as the power bursts. An ignition circuit (Z, L-CR) is provided to start or fire the lamp.
