    Abstract: A heat exchanger includes a first fluid pathway enclosed in a heat exchanger body to convey a first fluid through the heat exchanger body and a second fluid pathway enclosed in the heat exchanger body to convey a second fluid through the heat exchanger body and facilitate thermal energy exchange between the first fluid and the second fluid. The first fluid pathway and the second fluid pathway together are arranged in a spiral arrangement extending along a central axis of the heat exchanger.

    Abstract: A plug that can seal an aperture in a body includes a base, a main plug portion extending outward from the base, a groove body portion extending from a distal end of the main plug portion and having an outer diameter and a cap receiving portion extending from a distal end of the groove body portion and having a smaller outer diameter than the outer diameter of the groove body portion. The plug also includes a cap installed on the cap receiving portion and a radial sealing element disposed between the cap and the distal end of the main plug portion, the radial sealing element having an inner diameter that is larger than the outer diameter of the cap receiving portion. In operation, the cap is installed onto the cap receiving portion after the radial sealing element has been attached.

    Abstract: A heat exchanger includes first fluid passages that each have a first inlet that communicates into a first core passage and then a first outlet. The first inlet has a first inlet cross-sectional perimeter. The first core passage has a first core cross-sectional perimeter. Second fluid passages are interleaved with the first fluid passages. Each of the second passages have a second inlet that communicates into a second core passage and then a second outlet. The second inlet has a second inlet cross-sectional perimeter. The second core passage has a second core cross-sectional perimeter. The first and second core cross-sectional perimeters are larger than their respective first and second inlet cross-sectional perimeters. The first and second core passages are undivided from their respective first and second inlets to their respective first and second outlets.

    Abstract: A heat exchanger includes a first fluid inlet, a first fluid outlet, a second fluid inlet, a second fluid outlet, and a core section.     Abstract: Systems and methods to control fabrication of an assembly involve a first end sheet having an interior surface and an exterior surface, opposite the interior surface. A system includes interior sheets, the interior sheets including a first interior sheet at one end of a stack of the interior sheets and including a last interior sheet at an opposite end of the stack of the two or more interior sheets, the first interior sheet being adjacent to the interior surface of the first end sheet, and a second end sheet having an interior surface and an exterior surface, opposite the interior surface. The last interior sheet is adjacent to the interior surface of the last end sheet, and the interior surface of the first end sheet or the second end sheet includes venting features, the venting features including holes or slots to channel heat, gas, or vapor during a brazing process.

The alignment pin aligns the first and second mating components so that the first and second mating components can be bolted together.
