Abstract: Examples disclosed herein relate to an imaging device. Examples include a method for increasing the temperature of the imaging device by determining an internal temperature of the imaging device; determining if a start-up routine is to be initiated; pausing the start-up routine if the internal temperature is below a threshold temperature; and energizing at least one of a fan or heating element of the imaging device when the internal temperature is below the threshold temperature.

Abstract: An example auxiliary module includes an external power supply interface to couple to an external power source, at least one subsystem to operate using power from the external power source, and a power controller coupled to the external power supply interface. The at least one subsystem is to receive control signals from a primary device. The power controller includes circuitry to provide power from the external power source to the at least one subsystem. The power controller is to further provide power control signals to the primary device.

Abstract: An example device in accordance with an aspect of the present disclosure includes a controller to adjust print speed intra-page according to a response curve to substantially track a power curve of a power supply. The controller is to maximize print speed based on short-term energy data corresponding to present and future print data and long-term energy data corresponding to past print data, without exceeding a peak power output and a thermal limit of the power supply when printing according to the response curve.

Abstract: Power allocation in printing devices is disclosed. A first load request is received from a first heater system having a first thermal time constant and a second load request is received from a second heater system having a second thermal time constant. Power grants are allocated based on a general power arbitration of a power source in response to the independent load requests. The power grants include a first power grant based on the first load request and a second power grant based on the second load request. The power grants are adjusted to apportion a measure of the first power grant to the second power grant rather than provide the measure of the first power grant to the first heater system if a print substance density is within a selected print substance density threshold and the first load request is within a selected load threshold.

Abstract: A conditioner includes a pressure roller assembly, a heating element, a drive motor, a current sensor, a plurality of print media sensors, and a controller. The heating element heats the pressure roller assembly. The drive motor rotates the pressure roller assembly. The current sensor senses a current of the heating element. The plurality of print media sensors sense the movement of print media through the conditioner. The controller is to turn off the heating element in response to any one of detecting an anomaly in the sensed movement of the print media or detecting a sensed current outside a predetermined range.

Abstract: Power allocation in printing devices is disclosed. Independent load requests are received from printing device heater systems including an independent load request is received from a printing device heater system of the printing device heater systems. A power allowance of an amount of a power output is allocated to the printing device heater system if a print substance density is outside a print substance density threshold and the independent load request is outside a load threshold.
