One example client device is configured to perform beam/link monitoring according to a link recovery procedure if the client device is in a C-DRX mode operation with a network access node, where a configured beam failure detection (BFD) timer of the link recovery procedure is a function of a periodicity of beam failure indications.

Abstract: The application relates to maintaining time-synchronization of a wireless connection between a network access node and a client device. The wireless connection may be configured for services with latency constraints. In one example, based on an expiry of a time alignment timer for the client device, the network access node transmits a control message to the client device. The control message instructs the client device to transmit a response signal to the network access node. The response signal can be used by the network access node to determine the timing advance for the wireless connection and adjust the timing advance.

Abstract: A first client device compresses a broadcast sidelink packet according to a configuration for a compression profile by removing at least one non-IP header of the broadcast sidelink packet. The first client device transmits the compressed broadcast sidelink packet together with an indication of the compression profile. When a second client device receives the compressed broadcast sidelink packet, the second client device reconstructs the at least one non-IP header of the broadcast sidelink packet based on the configuration for the compression profile and the indicated compression profile.

Abstract: The disclosure relates to early detection and indication of a Quality-of-Service (QoS) non-fulfillment in one or more radio links serving an application. A client device monitors for a QoS non-fulfillment in the one or more radio links based on a QoS monitoring configuration associated with the application. The QoS monitoring configuration may be received from a network node and/or derived based on a predefined rule. Upon detection of a QoS non-fulfillment of one or more QoS requirements obtained from the QoS monitoring configuration, the client device provides a QoS non-fulfillment indication to the application. The QoS non-fulfillment indication gives the application an early warning about QoS non-fulfillment on the one or more radio links. Thereby, allowing the application to take precautionary actions to counteract possible negative consequences of the QoS non-fulfillment. Furthermore, the disclosure also relates to corresponding methods and a computer program.

Abstract: A client device and a corresponding method for detecting and indicating non-fulfilment of latency requirements of uplink data packets associated with an application are provided. The client device monitors transmissions of uplink data packets associated with the application, in a first layer, for non-fulfilment of latency requirements of the uplink data packets. The monitoring is based on a Quality-of-Service (QoS) monitoring configuration. Upon detection of a non-fulfilment of a latency requirement, the client device provides a first indication to a second layer. The first indication provides an early warning about non-fulfillment of latency requirements of uplink data packets. According to the application, the client device is allowed to take precautionary actions to counteract possible negative consequences of the non-fulfillment of latency requirements.

Abstract: This application discloses a paging indication method and an apparatus. The method includes: A UE obtains first indication information, where the first indication information indicates whether a core network device supports a paging cause value; and receives a first paging message, where the first paging message includes first information corresponding to the UE, and the first information does not include a first field indicating the paging cause value; and when the first indication information indicates that the core network device supports the paging cause value, the first information indicates the paging cause value. According to the method provided in this application, the UE can explicitly learn whether the paging cause value is indicated in information that is in a paging message and that corresponds to the UE.
