Abstract: The disclosure relates to a battery management apparatus, a vehicle having the same, and a method of controlling the vehicle. A method of controlling the vehicle having a motor, an engine, and a battery includes detecting respective voltage values of the plurality of cells provided in the battery; identifying a maximum voltage value and a minimum voltage value among the voltage values of the plurality of cells; obtaining a voltage deviation value between the identified maximum voltage value and the minimum voltage value; obtaining a deterioration rate of the battery; obtaining a power limit value of the battery based on at least one of the voltage deviation value or the deterioration rate of the battery; obtaining a final power limit value based on the obtained power limit value and a preset weight; and controlling a discharge of the battery based on the obtained final power limit value.

Abstract: A stable power supply device for a high voltage battery system in a vehicle enables the voltage of a capacitor in a high voltage component to be gradually increased at an initial stage of ignition, using a heat generating resistor of a temperature raising system mounted to raise the temperature of a battery in the vehicle. Further, the stable power supply device enables a capacitor in a high voltage component to be discharged using a heat generating resistor of a temperature raising system after the ignition of the vehicle is off, thereby ensuring the stability of the system.

Abstract: A system for charging a vehicle battery includes a relay configured to establish/interrupt electrical connection between the vehicle battery and a vehicle system supplied with power from the vehicle battery, and a controller. The controller is configured to monitor a voltage of the battery, control the relay to interrupt the electrical connection when a voltage of the battery is less than or equal to a first predetermined reference value, and control the relay to establish the electrical connection when a predetermined condition is satisfied while the relay is electrically disconnected. The controller controls the relay to be electrically connected to charge the battery through an external power source while the electrical connection is interrupted, and then control a connection state of the relay based on the voltage of the battery, a voltage and current of the relay at a side of the vehicle system, and whether a vehicle is started.
