摘要: An apparatus and method for switching redundancy control which provides fast switching from a malfunctioning component to a redundant component with minimum data flow interruption for both transmitted and received data. The redundancy control system having an APS (Automatic Switching Protection) Hub, at least a working and a redundant tributary card, a bridge to provide identical traffic to the working and redundant tributary cards, a working and a redundant STM switching fabric, selectors within the working and redundant STM switching fabrics for selecting the traffic from the working tributary card to further process, a working and a redundant ATM switching fabric, a working and a redundant ATM processor and ATM selectors for selecting traffic needing cell switching from the working STM switching fabric to process further. The system is capable of monitoring itself to detect failures and the APS Hub is outfitted so as to become aware of detected failures and initiate a switch in the appropriate selectors or ATM selectors so as to change the traffic being further processed from the failed working component to the redundant component.

摘要: A window fastener includes a forced-entry-resistant sash lock and tilt latch assembly. The sash lock is actuated to engage a keeper to lock the closed sash window. The tilt latch assembly permits sliding of the unlocked window, and prevents tilting until the tilt latch assembly is actuated by the interconnected sash lock. The sash lock and tilt latch assembly cooperate with a stop member secured to a master window frame, to limit opening of the window to a position between the closed position and a full open position, through contact of the latch assembly with a portion of the stop member. The sash lock is configured to actuate the latch assembly into a cocked position, permitting window movement beyond the limited position, and selective contact between the latch assembly and stop member that triggers latch assembly repositioning, causing automatic locking of the sash window when moved into the closed position.

摘要: A window vent stop for use in a sliding sash window assembly or a sliding door assembly. The vent stop has a housing adapted to be disposed in a recess in a non-movable sash member. A tumbler has at least one pivot for pivotally securing the tumbler to the housing for movement between an extended position, to prevent movement of a sliding member and a retracted position to allow movement of the sliding member. Also within the housing is a spring for biasing the tumbler. The housing has one or more flexible members extending from the end walls of the housing that secure the housing to an opening in the non-movable sash member.
