    摘要: Polyvinylbutyral of reduced tackiness and improved tensile strength is prepared by acetalization of polyvinyl alcohol, which is capable of association, in the associated state with n-butyraldehyde in aqueous phase in the presence of an acid catalyst. In the process for its preparation from more highly saponified, associated polyvinyl alcohol having a vinyl acetate unit content of less than 1% by weight, the acetalization is started preferably at temperatures below 20.degree. C. and the temperature is raised to above 40.degree. C. in the course of the reaction. Use for the production of plasticized thermoplastic polyvinylbutyral films and use of the latter as the joining layer in laminated glass.

    摘要: Thermoplastic molding compositions comprising 65-80% by weight (based on the molding composition) of a polyvinylbutyral which preferably contains 19-28% by weight (based on the polyvinylbutyral) of vinyl alcohol units, and 35-20% by weight (based on the molding composition) of a plasticizer mixture of 50-99% by weight (based on the plasticizer mixture) of a di-, tri- or tetra-glycol diester and 50-1% by weight (based on the plasticizer mixture) of a phosphoric acid triester. The preparation of the molding compositions by mixing the constituent components and their use for the production of shaped thermoplastic articles, in particular high-strength films for use as the bonding intermediate layer in the production of laminated glass.

    摘要: Glass laminates used as safety glass consist of several sheets of glass united by adhesive interlayers. The bond strength of such interlayers may be determined in simple manner using a special test specimen by the tensile shear test. The test specimen is parallelipiped-like and the individual sheets thereof are divided each to form an obtuse fracture, the fractures facing the interlayer being staggered. The minimum force required for detaching the interlayer from the individual sheets of the glass laminate is taken as a measure for the bond strength.

    摘要: Thermoplastic plasticized polyvinylbutyral molding compositions, in particular films of improved tensile strength and reduced tackiness are prepared by acetalization of polyvinyl alcohol, capable of association, in the associated state with n-butyraldehyde in aqueous phase in the presence of an acid catalyst and, if appropriate, of an organic sulfonic acid having an emulsifying action, after-treatment of the polyvinylbutyral under acetalization conditions at an elevated temperature in the presence of an organic sulfonic acid having 8 to 30 C atoms and having an emulsifying action, isolation and/or purification of the polyvinylbutyral and, if appropriate, admixture of conventional additives and mixing of the product, which may have been dried, with up to 40% by weight of plasticizer, relative to the polymer/plasticizer mixture, and molding, the plasticizers employed being esters of phthalic acid with C.sub.6 -C.sub.10 -alcohols and/or esters of adipic acid with C.sub.6 -C.sub.10 -alcohols.Use of the films for the manufacture of laminated glass, and laminated glass containing the films as the joining layer.
