摘要:
Mixtures of two distinct polyvinyl butyral grades, viz., one high viscosity and one low viscosity grade, both having a narrow molecular weight distribution exhibit good processing characteristics which nearly reach the performance of the high viscosity grades hitherto used.

Reduction in the adhesion to glass of thermoplastic, plasticized polyvinylbutyral molding compositions, in particular sheeting, by adding the magnesium salt of sulfonic acids or sulfuric acid half-esters or mixtures of these compounds as an non-stick agent, preferably in amounts of 0.003 to 0.3% by weight, relative to the plasticized polyvinylbutyral. The non-stick agent is preferably employed in the form of a solution in the plasticizer. The use of the sheeting having an adhesion to glass reduced in accordance with the invention as the laminating layer for the production of glass laminates.

Reduction in the adhesion to glass of thermoplastic, plasticized polyvinylbutyral molding compositions, in particular sheeting, by the addition of a metal salt and/or metal chelate of an enolizable .beta.-diketone, or mixtures of these compounds, as an non-stick agent, preferably in amounts of 0.003 to 0.3% by weight, relative to the plasticized polyvinylbutyral. It is preferable to employ the non-stick agent in the form of a solution in the plasticizer. The use of the sheeting having an adhesion to glass reduced in accordance with the invention as a laminating layer for the production of glass laminates.
摘要:
The reduction of the adhesion to glass of thermoplastic polyvinylbutyral molding compositions, in particular films, which contain plasticizer and in which the polyvinylbutyral component has an increased content of vinyl alcohol units, by addition of a combination of potassium hydroxide, potassium formate or potassium acetate and a compound having a betaine structure, as the anti-adhesive agent. Use of the films with reduced adhesion to glass as the bonding layer for the production of glass laminates.

An aqueous plastic dispersion which is based on three vinyl polymers differing in type and properties, and which additionally contains a filler, is prepared by mixing a mixture of aqueous dispersions of the polymers in question with an aqueous suspension of the filler. The most important distinguishing characteristic of the polymers mentioned is their glass transition temperature. A fibrous material is employed as the filler. The plastic dispersion is suitable as a starting material for the preparation of sheets with vibration-damping properties.

A synthetic resin composition is prepared by mixing various polymers which differ, above all, in their second order transition temperature; the composition can also contain a filler, an epoxide resin and an alcoholate. The composition is preferably obtained in the form of granules, the particle diameter being within the range from 1 to 10 mm. It is used as a starting material for the production of vibration-damping sheets.

The preparation of polyvinylbutyral is commonly effected by the acetalization of polyvinyl alcohol with n-butyraldehyde, either in an organic solvent or in water. By varying the reaction conditions it is possible to obtain the polyvinylbutyral in a coarse-grain or fine-grained form. The production of polyvinylbutyral having improved properties is possible by using a polyvinylbutyral having a content of from 17 to 24% by weight of vinyl alcohol units as starting material for an after-treatment in the presence of an organic sulfonic acid having an emulsifying effect. The polyvinylbutyral obtained is particularly suitable for the manufacture of compound sheets.

Plasticizer containing polyvinylbutyral sheets are known intermediate layers for glass laminates. Generally, the polyvinylbutyral used for this application contains certain amounts of vinyl alcohol units and vinyl acetate units. In order to adjust an optimum adhesion to glass, certain additives are mixed with the polyvinylbutyral, which additives must not cause discoloration of the laminate and deterioration of the transparency. Betains are especially suitable anti-adhesives, and efficient in very small amounts.
