摘要: A curable thermoplastic elastomeric blend comprising: (a) from 15 to 60 weight percent of a polyalkylene phthalate polyester polymer or copolymer and; (b) from 40 to 85 weight percent of a poly(meth)acrylate or polyethylene/alkyl (meth)acrylate rubber in combination with an effective amount of peroxide free-radical initiator and an organic multiolefinic coagent to cross-link which upon extrusion or injection molding dynamically cross-link producing a melt processible thermoplastic elastomeric composition having a polyalkylene phthalate polyester polymer or copolymer continuous phase and of a cross-linked polyacrylate or polyethylene/acrylate rubber dispersed phase. Such compositions are useful in the manufacture of rubber parts having excellent resistance to lubricating oils and greases.

摘要: A system and method for power management of an optical mouse. A mechanical displacement sensor associated with the optical mouse is used to detect movement of the optical mouse. When the optical mouse is motionless, a switch within the mechanical displacement sensor sets the optical mouse to a standby state. The standby state conserves power. When motion is detected by the mechanical displacement sensor, the switch powers up the optical mouse into its normal mode of operation.

摘要: A system and method for detecting structural damage is provided that utilizes a general order perturbation methodology involving multiple perturbation parameters. The perturbation methodology is used iteratively in conjunction with an optimization method to identify the stiffness parameters of structures using natural frequencies and/or mode shape information. The stiffness parameters are then used to determine the location and extent of damage in a structure. A novel stochastic model is developed to model the random impact series produced manually or to generate a random impact series in a random impact device. The random impact series method or the random impact device can be used to excite a structure and generate vibration information used to obtain the stiffness parameters of the structure. The method or the device can also just be used for modal testing purposes. The random impact device is a high energy, random, and high signal-to-noise ratio system.

摘要: A system and method of designing digital system. One aspect of the invention includes a method for designing an essentially digital system, wherein Pareto-based task concurrency optimization is performed. The method uses a system-level description of the functionality and timing of the digital system. The system-level description comprises a plurality of tasks. Task concurrency optimization is performed on said system-level description, thereby obtaining a task concurrency optimized system-level description, including Pareto-like task optimization information. The essentially digital system is designed based on said task concurrency optimized system-level description. In one embodiment of the invention, the description is includes a “grey-box” description of the essentially digital system.
