摘要:
A method and a device is used for reducing vibrations on at least two rotating elements, such as cooperating cylinders, which roll in opposite directions while situated in contact with each other. At least one of the elements has a surface protrusion that projects from an essentially circular contour of an active lateral surface. A height of this protrusion can be altered in a radial direction. A circumferential position of the protrusion can also be altered, all in accordance with a quality that characterizes a machine state or vibration.

Flexural vibrations are reduced in rotating components, such as rotating cylinders of a rotary printing press. One or more actuators are placed in a groove or recess in the cylinder. These actuators act in the axial direction of the rotating component. The amount of force exerted by said actuator will vary with the rotational position of the cylinder.

The circumferential register of a web passing through printing units of a web-fed rotary press is accomplished by determining an actual value of the tension in the web. An angular position or an angular velocity of a cylinder of a first print unit, with respect to a cylinder of a second print unit, is varied based on this determined tension. This corrects any register offset without the need to control web tension and without the use of an optical recognition system. The value of the needed change for the cylinder angular position or velocity is determined as a function of the measured tension of the web.

A process for adjusting a web tension in a web-fed rotary printing machine addresses the problems of processing variables which are not precisely quatifiable, while minimizing the influence of the press operator. This is achieved by adjusting the web tension using rules of fuzzy logic.

A printing unit is comprised of at least one counter-pressure cylinder and a transfer cylinder. A printing point is formed between the two cylinders when they are in contact. The counter-pressure cylinder is actuated by one drive motor independently of the transfer cylinder. In a print-on position, the counter-pressure cylinder is adjusted as a guide variable in relation to the power of the motor which drives the cylinder.

The tension of a web in a rotary printing machine is monitored and adjusted. The web runs through at least one printing group in the rotary printing machine. Any change in the stretch of the web during the production run is determined by noting any difference between first and second speeds of the web. The change in stretch is compensated for by a change in the tension of the web before the first printing group.

A rotary screen printing device includes a printing cylinder rotatably mounted about a printing cylinder axis. A cylinder jacket of the printing cylinder is formed at least in areas by a printing screen. An impression cylinder is rotatably mounted about an impression cylinder axis. A squeegee is movable relative to the cylinder jacket of the printing cylinder. The squeegee is arranged at least partly inside the printing cylinder for pressing printing ink through the printing screen onto a substrate to be printed. At least one adjustment device is provided for adjusting a distance between the printing cylinder axis and the impression cylinder axis or a radius of the printing cylinder or of the impression cylinder.

Rollers and cylinders that are useable in rotary printing presses are made using hollow tubular casing having metallic foam cores. The casings and cores are made separately. The cores are then placed inside the casing and the two are secured together in a force-transmitting manner.

A method for adjusting a color register in a web-fed rotary printing press is accomplished by measuring an actual web tension and comparing it to a reference value for the web tension. If the actual web tension exceeds the reference value by more than a permissible tolerance either the number of revolutions of one of two print positions or the cylinder positions of one of the print positions is changed.
