摘要: An air filter includes a housing having an air inlet and an air outlet. A filter element is insertable into the housing. The filter element includes a filter medium folded in an accordion-like manner, as well as a surrounding seal for sealing off a pure-air area. The air inlet of the housing has the same cross-section as that of the filter element. Holders are arranged on the housing via film hinges. The holders operate to fix the filter element in an installed position in the housing.

摘要: An intake module for an internal combustion engine. The intake module including at least two intake ducts which can be opened and closed by rotatable valves. The valves are connected to one another via a coupling mechanism and to a common actuating mechanism in the form of a servomotor. In order to compensate for tolerances between the valves and the actuating mechanism, the coupling mechanism includes at least one elastic portion, formed by a weakened material portion, which allows the intake valves to be closed and opened completely. The resilience of the coupling mechanism can be brought about by a change in cross-section or a material reduction. In one embodiment of the invention, the coupling mechanism includes multi-part articulated main rods which control the valves by resiliently mounted legs. In another embodiment, the coupling mechanism includes a main rod having branch rods emerging therefrom with a resilient region extending as a relatively thin cross-section of the branch rods over their entire length.

摘要: An intake system for an internal combustion engine to avoid water intake, which includes a main air inlet (10), an auxiliary air inlet (11), and an air filter (12). In the main air inlet (10) there is a valve 16 to sealingly close the main air inlet (10) and a moisture sensor (15), which is connected so as to communicate with an evaluator (22) which, in turn, is connected to at least one other sensor (23) disposed outside the intake system and provided to detect other functions. Examples of possible other sensors (23) include rain sensors and/or temperature sensors. The sensor signals are coupled and or correlated in the evaluator (22), and in accordance with a logic which resides in the evaluator (22), a control signal is produced that opens or closes the main air inlet (10) by means of the valve (16), which can be moved into the respective open or closed positions by any of a number of diverse types of drives, such as, electrical, pneumatic, or electro-pneumatic drives.

摘要: An intake system for an internal combustion engine of a motor vehicle which includes a first unfiltered air intake (10) which is arranged at a location in the vehicle that is favorable for air intake, and a second unfiltered air intake (11) which is arranged at a location in the vehicle that is protected against road spray and splashes of water. The two unfiltered air intakes (10, 11) each open into a common line (12) which communicates with the internal combustion engine. In the first unfiltered air intake (10) there is a moisture sensor (14) which emits a signal when water enters the first unfiltered air intake (10). This signal actuates a drive member 23 which moves a flap 13 between first and second switching positions. In the first switching position, the flap 13 closes the second unfiltered air intake 11, so that no air can get into line 12 from the second unfiltered air intake 11. In the second position, the flap 13 closes the first unfiltered air intake 10, so that air gets into line 12 exclusively through the second unfiltered air intake 11.
