    摘要: A diaphragm carburetor for an internal combustion engine that operates with scavenging is provided, especially for the two-cycle engine in a manually guided implement. The carburetor has a housing in which is formed an intake channel portion in which is disposed a butterfly valve that is rotatably held via a butterfly valve shaft. The carburetor has at least one air channel that supplies additional combustion air and that is provided with an air valve that is rotatably held via an air valve shaft. The air valve is, at least in one angular range, coupled to the movement of the butterfly valve, whereby the coupling includes a butterfly valve lever that is fixedly connected with the butterfly valve shaft, and an air valve lever that is fixedly connected with the air valve shaft. Disposed on one of the levers is a driver member that at least in one angular range slides upon the other lever between an outer contact point and an inner contact point.

The system includes a position sensor (16) operably connected to the throttle valve that generates a first signal. A controller is operably connected to the position sensor. The controller (18) is configured to determine a current position of the throttle valve using a transfer function defining a curve with no breakpoints and the signal from the position sensor. The controller (18) is further configured to change the operational position of the throttle valve based on the current position and a desired position of the throttle valve.

    摘要: A multi-strike throttle minimum learning system compares a signal received from at least one throttle position sensor to a predetermined minimum throttle position range based on throttle system component tolerances. A possible throttle obstruction is indicated when all of the sensor signal minimum values are outside the predetermined minimum range. In this case, the system deactivates electrical power for a predetermined delay period and then initiates another learn attempt in an effort to overcome the obstruction. This cycle is repeated until a valid throttle minimum position is detected, the number of learn attempts reaches a preset maximum, or a sensor fault is detected. If a valid throttle position minimum is detected within the allowed number of learning attempts, normal engine startup proceeds; otherwise, appropriate fault codes are communicated to the balance of the engine management system and, ultimately, to the operator.

    摘要: The present invention is directed to a control value 20 which incorporates the functions of both a shuttle valve and a check valve into a single structure for use in a lost motion engine brake system. In response to a supply of hydraulic fluid from switched low pressure supply circuit 320, control valve body 200 of control value 20 may index within control valve bore 204, such that hydraulic fluid flows through upper annulus 260, first horizontal bore 270, first vertical bore 280, middle annulus 261 and out through lashless fluid supply circuit 340 and accumulator control circuit 350 to acuate engine valve 100. In an embodiment for clipping/rest of the valve actuating piston 130, clipping/reset spool 450 provided in rocker shaft 405. In response to rotational or linear motion, spool annuluses 451 on clipping/reset spool 450 move to open and close clipping reset/passageway 455 and accumulator control circuit 350, thereby providing clipping of piston 130.

    摘要: An on-vehicle engine control apparatus carries out engine drive control and throttle control using one single CPU and improves safety. The apparatus includes a load relay for feeding a power to a motor that controls throttle valve opening, a first IC (integrated circuit element) containing a CPU, and a second IC connected to the first IC via serial interfaces. The apparatus further includes a first mutual diagnostic device incorporated in the first IC and diagnoses operation of the second IC, a second mutual diagnostic device incorporated in the second IC to diagnoses operation of the first IC, and a detector for detecting an abnormality in operation of each system involved in throttle valve control. Operation of the load relay is controlled based on diagnostic results and abnormality detection results of the first and second mutual diagnostic devices.

    摘要: A control system must establish the same throttle position repeatedly to obtain fuel efficiency and prevent speed dropping during idling. Sensors determine the throttle position or other engine parameter associated with the throttle position and create an analog signal. The information is processed by a analog-to-digital converter which places the signal into a discrete level. A controller receives this signal and compares it to a point assigned between two discrete levels representing the desired throttle position or engine parameter. Therefore, the signal will never equal the assigned point. The controller makes corrections based on this comparison after every iteration because the error will never reach zero.
