A locking segment has at least one holding notch to accommodate the transverse part, with flanks extending transversely to the longitudinal guide and a handle for releasing the tranverse part from the holding notch. The handle extends over a region of a front surface of the child seat.

It has a mount in which a bearing shaft is journalled. Further, it has a locking disk with notches arranged at equal angular intervals and with a torsion-proof connection with the bearing shaft; further a locking element which is preferably journalled with turning capability at the mount, also having a locking tooth confunctioning with the notches and being elastically prestressed in the engagement direction of this locking tooth and having a total of two control profiles, each one of which has a release profile and an unblocking indentation, the distance between which corresponds to the angular intervals between the notches, and confunctioning with carriers, which can be adjusted by means of the activating lever. Thereby, a return spring is assigned to the activation lever, prestressing the latter into the central position.The activation lever has a rigid connection with an activation plate, which is journalled to turn freely with the bearing shaft. The seat has a longitudinal guide 20, 22, a device 24 for adjustment of height or inclination and a belt lock attachment 32. The lower end of the belt lock attachment 32 is affixed to the seat rail 22 of the longitudinal guide and carries a belt lock 34 at its upper end. The belt lock attachment has a lower part 38 linked to the seat rail and an upper part 40 linked to the seat carrier 26, the upper part being connected with the belt lock. One of these parts 38, 40 can move freely in a longitudinal guide formed by the other part. One part has at least one locking projection 60; and the other part has locking devices 46 interacting with the projection. By means of a safety piece 50, the two parts are held in a normal position permitting movement. When extreme forces induced during an accident act on the belt, the safety piece is overridden, whereby the locking projection engages in the locking device and removed of the upper part from the lower part is precluded.

The invention relates to a seat area of a motor vehicle seat with a seat cushion adjustable in its incline by height adjustment of the front edge of the seat consisting of a seat support, a pillow spring system and an upholstery part, the seat support comprising a support unit and a swivelling bridge which among others defines the front edge of the seat. Between the swivelling bridge and the support unit and a swivelling bridge which among others defines the front edge of the seat. Between the swivelling bridge and the support unit an adjustment regulation device is planned for an incline adjustment of the swivelling bridge opposite the support unit. A rear support unit, with which the swivelling bridge is connected on both ends via joints is allocated to the swivelling bridge by formation of a cushion support, which can be upholstered. Between the part of the swivelling bridge which is forming the front part of the seat and the rear support unit the pillow spring system is bent. At the swivelling bridge and the rear support unit, mounting parts are planned which work together, and which limit a folding together of the swivelling bridge and the rear support unit around the joints positioned along the side and by the effect of the pillow spring system to a predetermined angle.
