    摘要: An electrical machine includes a stator having a radically inwardly directed duct adjacent the center of the machine for flowing cooling medium into the gap between the stator and rotor. The rotor includes radial or diagonal ducts having scoops for directing flow generally radically inwardly to cool the field windings in the center of the machine. The cooling medium flows either into subslots for radial or diagonal outward flow through outlet ducts for return to the gap.

The die has at least one circuit element positioned on its first surface. At least one micro-channel is defined in the second surface of the die. The integrated circuit device includes a cooling substrate attached to the second surface of the die. At least one fluid routing channel is defined in the cooling substrate. The at least one fluid routing channel is connected to the at least one micro-channel defined in the die. Additionally, the cooling substrate has at least one valve positioned within the at least one fluid routing channel. The at least one valve is configured to autonomously regulate a flow rate of a cooling fluid flowing through the at least one fluid routing channel.

    摘要: A pressurized air-cooled rotating electrical machine comprising a housing, and a rotor and stator disposed within the housing driven by a shaft is provided. The pressurized air-cooled rotating electrical machine also comprises a compressor operable to pressurize air within the housing to increase the volumetric heat capacity of the air within the housing. The rotating electrical machine may also have a temperature feedback device disposed within the housing to provide a signal representative of temperature within the housing. The pressurized air-cooled rotating electrical machine may also comprise a pressure sensor operable to detect air pressure within the housing. A controller may be coupled to the temperature feedback device and the compressor to regulate the air pressure inside the rotating electrical machine based on the temperature within the rotating electrical machine.
