摘要: A body fat measuring device comprises electrodes brought into contact with the waist portion of a subject, an optical sensor composed of a light applying section and a light receiving section, an impedance computing section for computing the impedance between the electrodes, a subcutaneous fat thickness computing section for computing the thickness of the subcutaneous fat of the subject from the value detected by the optical sensor, and a body fat computing section which subtracts the amount of subcutaneous fat determined using the thickness of the subcutaneous fat computed by the subcutaneous thickness computing section from the total fat amount of the subject determined using the impedance computed by the impedance computing section so as to determine the visceral fat amount of the subject. With this, not only the accuracy of measurement of the visceral fat amount is improved but also the visceral fat amount of the subject can be easily computed even without a database.

摘要: An inverter power supply having a DC source, a transformer having a primary winding, a secondary winding, and a feedback winding, an L-C resonant circuit of a capacitor and the primary winding, and a self-excited oscillator. The oscillator includes an L-C resonant circuit and an FET connected in series with the primary winding across the DC source to generate a high frequency voltage across the primary winding, a feedback voltage across the feedback winding and a resulting output AC voltage across the secondary winding. A biasing capacitor is connected in parallel with a series combination of the L-C resonant circuit and the FET across the DC source to be charged thereby. The biasing capacitor is also connected in series with the feedback winding to provide an offset voltage which is additive to the feedback winding to give a bias voltage applied to a gate of the FET so as to alternately turn on and off the FET for driving the self-excited oscillator. A current sensor is provided to sense a current flowing through FET and gives a first level signal indicative of the sensed current being fed to the resonant circuit. Extending across the biasing capacitor is a single discharge path which does not go through the FET. A switching transistor is inserted in the single discharge path and is caused to turn on, upon the first level signal exceeding a threshold level, to discharge the biasing capacitor to a level for maintaining the offset voltage at a constant level during continued oscillation of the L-C resonant circuit.

摘要: A DC power supply system includes a DC power supply and a secondary battery for backing up the DC power supply. When a voltage of the DC power supply is lower than a voltage of the secondary battery, the DC power system adds an extra voltage to the voltage of the DC power supply to provide an input voltage to the secondary battery higher than the voltage of the secondary battery by using an electric power of the secondary battery, and the secondary battery is charged.

摘要: A diagnostic device for drive circuits has first and second relays each with a movable contact for switching between a normally closed and open contact, a motor are connected to the contacts, first and second resistance voltage dividing circuits connected between the contacts and a reference potential point, a switching circuit connected between two the closed contacts and the reference potential point, and a diagnostic section. The diagnostic section diagnoses a state of supply of drive power to the motor based on voltage-division outputs of the first and second resistance voltage dividing circuits. A bias voltage is supplied to a connection point between the normally closed contacts and the switching circuit. An additional resistance voltage dividing circuit is connected between the connection point and the reference potential pointy. The connection between the motor and a circuit driving the motor based on a voltage-division output of the additional voltage dividing circuit.

摘要: A switch open-close state-detecting circuit for supplying an interrupt signal to a control terminal of a controller in response to a change of state of a switch to either open or closed state by giving a monitoring voltage to a plurality of switches to supply a change of the monitoring voltage corresponding to opening or closing of the switches to a plurality of input terminals of the controller by detecting the change of the monitoring voltage to supply to the control terminal of the controller for controlling the operation modes of the controller. The switch open-close state-detecting circuit has a control IC including the same number of a plurality of pairs of input terminal and a plurality of output terminals for generating interrupt signals at the output terminals only when supply voltages to pairs of input terminals of the control IC are not equal, and delay circuits connected between the input terminals of the control IC. The change of the monitoring voltage is supplied to the pairs of input terminals of the control IC to supply the interrupt signal from the output terminals of the control IC to the control terminal of the controller.

摘要: Friction plates for a friction type coupling device for displaying a function of braking, holding, accelerating or decelerating by depressing and contacting one friction member against the other friction member of a friction type coupling device composed of two friction plates one fabricated of metals or non-metallic materials or inorganic material. One friction plate has a friction portion which is selectively depressed against the other friction plate and a remaining non-contacting portion. The friction portion is formed as a plurality of protrusions by cutting away, by engraving a plurality of grooves, by cutting away non-contacting portions or by positively forming a plurality of protrusions on the surface of the friction plate. The area ratio of the friction potion to the whole area of the friction plate, namely the total of the contacting portion plus non-contacting portion is rendered less than 60%, preferably, less than 10%, whereby the variation of the generated friction force is made minimum and is able to keep stable friction performance.
