    摘要: A power supply unit includes an input-side rectifying circuit (4), an inverter (8) and an output-side rectifying circuit (12), which include power semiconductor devices. The power supply unit is powered during a powering period, and the powering is interrupted during a pausing period. The powering and pausing periods alternate. A fan (18) is driven during each powering period to cool the power semiconductor devices. A temperature detector (30) measures the temperature of the power semiconductor devices and develops a measured-temperature representative signal. A setter (38) produces a reference value, which decreases over the pausing period from the measured-temperature representative signal at the beginning of the pausing period to an intended-temperature representative signal representing the temperature to be attained by the power semiconductor devices at the end of the pausing period. The reference value is prepared from the measured-temperature representative signal at the beginning of the pausing period, the intended-temperature representative signal, and the length of the pausing period. An error amplifier (36) and a fan control unit (22) control the rotation rate of the fan (18) to make the measured-temperature representative signal track the reference value.

    摘要: A DC power supply apparatus includes an input-side rectifier which rectifies an input AC voltage and supplies the rectified voltage to a voltage-boosting converter. The voltage-boosting converter converts the supplied voltage to a voltage of a predetermined magnitude. The predetermined magnitude voltage is, then, converted to a high-frequency voltage by an inverter and applied to a primary winding of a transformer. An output-side rectifier rectifies a high-frequency voltage induced in a secondary winding of the transformer. The inverter includes IGBTs and diodes, which are connected in a full-bridge configuration. A capacitor is connected in parallel with each IGBT. When the IGBTs are rendered conductive by the charging and discharging of the capacitors, no current flows through the IGBTs, and when the IGBTs are rendered nonconductive, the voltages applied to the IGBTs are made to become zero.

The inverters convert the received DC voltages into high-frequency voltages, which are, in turn, voltage-transformed in transformers. The outputs of the transformers are rectified in two rectifiers, respectively, and smoothed in two reactors. The smoothed voltages are supplied between output terminals. The reactors are formed on a single core, being loosely coupled with each other.

    摘要: A DC power supply apparatus includes a rectifier circuit which rectifies an input commercial AC voltage. The rectifier output voltage is smoothed in a smoothing capacitor. The DC voltage from the capacitor is converted to a high-frequency voltage in an inverter. The high-frequency voltage from the inverter is voltage-transformed by a transformer into a voltage-transformed, high-frequency voltage, which is then converted back into a DC voltage in a high-frequency-to-DC converter circuit. When an input commercial AC voltage is applied to the DC power supply apparatus, a pre-charging circuit pre-charges the smoothing capacitor from the input AC voltage. If a voltage having a magnitude larger than a prescribed value is applied to the DC power supply apparatus, an overvoltage protection circuit renders the rectifier circuit and the pre-charging circuit inoperative.

    摘要: A DC power supply apparatus has two power supply input terminals between which one of 100 V level, 200 V level and 400 V level AC power supply voltages or a 575 V AC power supply voltage is applied. A rectifying unit is connected between the two power supply input terminals, and a voltage-lowering converter is connected to the rectifying unit. A thyristor is connected between the input and output of the voltage-lowering converter. A series combination of two capacitors is connected between two output terminals of the voltage-lowering converter. A switch circuit is connected between the junction of the two capacitors and one input terminal of the rectifying unit. An inverter converts a DC voltage appearing across the series combination of the capacitors into a high-frequency voltage, which, in turn, is voltage transformed by a transformer. The voltage-transformed high-frequency voltage is converted into a DC voltage in a high-frequency-to-DC converter for application to a load. When a 100 V level voltage is applied between the power supply input terminals, the thyristor is turned on, the voltage-lowering converter is turned off and the switch circuit is turned on. When one of the 200 V level voltages is connected, the thyristor is turned on, the voltage-lowering converter is turned off, and the switch circuit is turned off. When one of the 400 V level voltages or the 575 V voltage is applied between the power supply input terminals, the thyristor is turned off, the voltage-lowering converter is turned on, and the switch circuit is turned off.

    摘要: An inverter includes a series circuit of two current conducting units connected between two input terminals adapted to be connected to a DC power supply. Two first capacitors are connected in series between the two input terminals. A primary winding of a transformer is connected between the junction of the current conducting units and the junction of the first capacitors. Each of the current conducting units includes a parallel circuit of an IGBT, a diode and a second capacitor. The IGBT has a collector, an emitter and a gate and is rendered conductive when a control signal is applied to the gate while a voltage of a predetermined polarity is applied between the collector and the emitter. The diode is connected in inverse parallel with the IGBT. An inverter control circuit applies alternately the control signals to the respective IGBTs with a predetermined quiescent period disposed between the respective control signals applied.

    摘要: The semiconductor device is included in the LED driving circuit (current regulator) of driving the LED array (with series-connected number m×parallel-connected number n), and is formed of a plurality (n pieces) of LED driving devices of controlling a current (constant-current driving) flowing in each string. A vertical semiconductor device, for example, a vertical MOSFET is used as the LED driving device. Both of a main device functioning as a constant-current driving device and a subsidiary device functioning as a circuit-breaking switch during dimming are formed inside a chip of the device, which are formed of the vertical semiconductor devices. In a first surface of the device, each source region of the main device and the subsidiary device is formed so as to be insulated from each other through an isolation region.
