    摘要: A condenser lens is provided between a light source and the incident end of an illumination light guide, and at least one pair of plane-parallel plates are disposed on the illumination light path at a position between the light source and the condenser lens in such a manner that the plates are in symmetry with each other with respect to the optical axis of the illumination light path. The plane-parallel plates are pivoted by a pivoting device about an axis of rotation which extends perpendicular to the optical axis of illumination light and parallel with the plane-parallel plates, thereby partially intercepting the illumination light path, and thus adjusting the quantity of light which is applied from the light source to the illumination light guide.

    摘要: An endoscope apparatus, comprising an imaging controller, a receiver, and an image generator, is provided. The imaging controller makes an optical image to be captured so that the amount of optical information to be captured per a certain area size for an enlarged observation area is greater than that for a normal observation area. The receiver receives the optical information as a pixel signal. The image generator generates a normal image signal corresponding to a normal image on the basis of the pixel signals captured within the normal observation area and a part of the pixel signals captured within the enlarged observation area. The image generator generates an enlarged image signal corresponding to an enlarged image on the basis of the pixel signals captured within the enlarged observation area.

The controller further controls a display device to display a still fluorescence image in a first window defined on a displaying area thereof based on the fluorescence image signals which have been generated when a still image switch is turned ON during the time to take the fluorescence image, and simultaneously to display a moving normal color image in a second window defined on a displaying area thereof based on the normal color image signals generated every time the body cavity wall is intermittently illuminated with the white light, the first window being larger than the second window.

    摘要: An electronic endoscope selector that is used in an electronic endoscope system which shares peripheral devices, such as a TV monitor, VCR etc., among a plurality of electronic endoscopes. The electronic endoscope selector comprises switching circuits for switching and selecting video signals and synchronization signals fed from one of the plurality of electronic endoscopes. The selector also comprises amplifiers, gamma correction circuits, a system control circuit and memory. The amplifiers and gamma correction circuits are for adjusting gains and gamma correction of RGB video signals fed from the selected electronic endoscope. Parameters for appropriate gains and gamma correction corresponding to each endoscope are stored in the memory. The system control circuit controls the amplifiers and gamma correction circuits in accordance with the parameters that correspond to the selected electronic endoscope.

    摘要: In an electronic endoscope system, a scope has an image sensor provided at a distal end thereof to generate image-pixel signals. A proximal end of the scope is connected to an image-signal processing unit, in which the image-pixel signals are processed to produce a video signal. A light source device is provided in the processing unit. An optical light guide extends through the scope. When the connection is established between the scope and the processing unit, the light guide is optically connected to the light source device. The light source device includes a white light lamp, and an ultraviolet lamp, and a mirror for selectively introducing either the white light or the ultraviolet light into the light guide.
