    摘要: An acoustic wind instrument having a conical tube is simulated by two cylindrical tubes communicated to each other at each one end. A parallel connection of electrical signal transmission lines, each simulating a cylindrical tube constitute a synthesizer synthesizing the sound of the conical acoustic wind instrument. Each signal transmission line includes a shift register for giving a delay to the input signal, a multiplier for simulating sound reflection, and a filter for affording a tone color. An exciting signal is injected at the interconnection of the parallel connection through a junction circuit.

    摘要: A musical tone synthesizing apparatus provides a time-varying signal processing circuit the transfer function of which gradually varies over time in order to gradually vary over time the tone color of a synthesized musical tone. A number of time-varying signal processing circuits are presented. An interpolation-type-time-varying signal processing circuit is provided with interpolators for interpolating control parameters generated based on a desired musical tone, a signal processing circuit carrying out a signal operation based on the interpolated control parameters on an input signal incomming thereto. A mixing-type or distribution-type time-varying signal processing circuit is provided with a plurality of signal processing circuits for carrying out signal operations based on control parameters on input signals, and with a mixer which mixes the output signals of the signal processing circuits in such a way that the mixing ratio gradually varies over time or with a distribution circuit which distributes an input signal to the signal processing circuits in such a way that the distribution ratio gradually varies over time.

    摘要: In a musical tone synthesizing apparatus, employed by an electronic musical instrument, an excitation signal circulates through a waveguide to form a musical tone signal corresponding to a synthesized musical tone. The waveguide is configured by a loop circuit containing an adder, a delay circuit, a filter and an amplifier. A delay time used for the delay circuit is determined in response to a tone pitch of a musical tone to be produced, while a filter coefficient used for the filter is determined in response to a tone color of the musical tone to be produced. A multiplication coefficient used for the multiplier is generated in accordance with one of the tone pitch and delay time; or the multiplication coefficient is computed on the basis of the tone pitch and a decay rate which is set by a performer. In addition, a different multiplication coefficient can be generated in response to a state of an envelope waveform of the musical tone to be produced. For example, the multiplication coefficient to be generated for an attack portion of the envelope waveform can be differed from the multiplication coefficient to be generated for a decay portion of the envelope waveform. By finely controlling a loop gain of the waveguide corresponding to the multiplication coefficient, a fine control can be performed for the synthesis of the musical tones.

Second arithmetic operation section solves a motion equation of coupled vibration of the lip and reed with calculation results of the first arithmetic operation section used as initial values of the displacement yb(x), y0(x) of the lip and reed, to thereby calculate the displacement y(x, t) of the reed. Tone is synthesized on the basis of the displacement y(x, t) calculated by the second arithmetic operation section.

Then, a calculating portion 150 calculates a difference between the pitch of the performed note and the pitch of the target note, and a display control portion 160 causes the display device 30 to display the calculated difference. Further, the display control portion 160 converts the target note into a note name written in a score relating to the musical instrument to be tuned by using a transposition parameter relating to the musical instrument to be tuned that is stored in the storage portion 100 and set by the setting portion 110, and causes the display device 30 to display a staff in which a note corresponding to the note name written in a score is written.

    摘要: A music apparatus uses a processing unit of a universal type having an extended instruction set used to carry out parallel computation steps in response to a single instruction which is successively issued when executing a program. A software module defines a plurality of channels and is composed of a synthesis program executed by the processing unit using the extended instruction set so as to carry out synthesis of waveforms of musical tones through the plurality of the channels. The plurality of the channels are optimally grouped into parallel sets each containing at least two channels. The synthesis of the waveforms of at least two channels belonging to each parallel set are carried out concurrently by the parallel computation steps. A buffer has a capacity sufficient to store the waveform samples allotted to one frame period. A cache has a capacity sufficient to store a subset of the waveform samples which is an integer division of the set allotted to one frame period. The synthesis program is executed by the processing unit at one frame period so as to carry out synthesis of a set of waveform samples allotted to one frame period while efficiently accessing the cache. Any designated subroutine programs are sequentially called in response to call instructions to process the waveform samples during the synthesis.
