摘要： There are provided an inkjet printing apparatus and a method of predicting which can perform an accurate ink remaining amount detection. An inkjet printing apparatus is for performing printing onto a print medium by using a print head including an energy generating element generating energy used for ejecting ink from an ejection opening. The apparatus has a print head temperature detecting unit, an atmosphere temperature detecting unit and a predicting unit. The predicting unit drives the energy generating element at the time a difference between the temperature of the print head before driving the energy generating element and the atmosphere temperature detected by the atmosphere temperature detecting unit is less than a predetermined temperature.

At least a portion of the feeding path of the recording sheet is common to at least a portion of the feeding path of the document, and the image reading portion can be set to a first position moved from the common feeding path and to a second position at which the image of the document that is fed through the common feeding path is read, and a reading position at which the image is read by the image reading portion is located downstream of the image forming portion in a recording sheet feeding direction.

Accordingly, no twists take place between slide pins and the slide-pin support portions. Besides, in the bracket, the support points of the respective slide pins are arranged in a region defined between second and third straight lines, so that even when the braking torque of a second friction pad has acted on the slide-pin support points through second braking-torque support portions as well as the slide pins on account of the shortened distances between the slide-pin support points and bracket fixation points, turning moments which arise about the fixation points are small. Accordingly, a brake caliper is permitted to slide smoothly, and the durability of the bracket for supporting the brake caliper can be enhanced.
