摘要: A laser beam generation control system of an optical mark reader device including a laser generating element, a laser generation control unit, a laser scanner unit for scanning a mark, such as a bar code or the like, and a signal processor unit for photoconverting a reflected light to read thereof; wherein the laser beam generation control unit turns ON/OFF the laser generation element by a predetermined duty to carry out a generation of the laser intermittently. Further, when a reflected light from the mark is detected during an intermittent generation of the laser beam, the laser generation element is turned ON to generate a laser beam continuously; and when a reflected light from the mark is not detected for more than a predetermined first time period during a continuous generation of a laser beam, the system is switched from continuous generation to intermittent generation.

摘要: A semiconductor laser control method and apparatus includes a semiconductor laser, a semiconductor laser control circuit, a drive current measuring unit, a detection unit, a warning unit, and a memory unit. The memory unit stores initial drive current values and corresponding temperatures. The detection unit performs a step of comparing an actual drive current value measured by the drive current measuring unit with the initial drive current value corresponding to an actual temperature. The warning unit performing a step of generating an alarm predicting the expiration of service life of the semiconductor laser, when the actual drive current value exceeds the corresponding initial drive current value by a specified percentage. Consequently, the near expiration of the service life of the semiconductor laser can be confirmed and therefore render the operational effects such as replacement of the semiconductor laser, without causing any hindrance to the operation.

摘要: Units having a beam-scanning function, and a light-receiving function and a photoelectric-conversion function are separated from the main-body of a stationary-type bar code reader as a separable unit. The separable unit is detachably mounted on the main-body unit. The separable unit is mounted on the main-body unit for use as a stationary-type reader when a product on which a bar code is printed is relatively small and light. When a product is large or heavy, the separable unit is separated from the main-body unit for use as a hand-held reader. This improves the operability of the bar code reader and eliminates the need to equip a stationary bar code reader and a hand-held bar code reader separately.

摘要: A compact type bar code reader for detecting a bar code symbol provided on a surface of an article. The bar code reader includes a laser beam generation unit for generating the laser beam to be irradiated onto a bar code symbol, and a focus unit for determining a focus of the laser beam, and a scanning pattern forming unit for forming various scanning patterns of the laser beam. The bar code reader also includes a light reflection unit for reflecting the laser beam to and from the bar code symbol, a light collection unit for collecting the laser beam reflected from the bar code symbol, and a light reception unit for receiving the laser beam collected by the light collection unit, and converting it to an electrical signal. The above units are included in a casing so that the laser beam generation unit, the focus unit, the light collection unit, and the light reception unit are arranged at a lower portion of the casing, and the scanning pattern forming unit and light reception unit are arranged at a lower portion of the casing. The light path of the laser beam is formed in such a way that an emitted light path from the laser beam generation unit to the bar code symbol becomes considerably long, and a reflected light path from the bar code symbol to the light reception unit becomes shorter than the emitted light path.

摘要: A compressor compressing a fluid including lubricating oil includes, on the discharge side thereof, a first separation chamber for separating the lubricating oil by generating a swirling flow in the fluid. The first separation chamber includes: a circumferential wall; an inflow port that is formed in the circumferential wall and causes the fluid to flow into the first separation chamber; and a guiding plate extending from the circumferential wall. The guiding plate extends so as to face the inflow port in a direction where the fluid flows from the inflow port into the first separation chamber, and so as to deflect the fluid flow from the inflow port to guide it along an inner circumferential surface of the circumferential wall.
