    摘要: A rolling mill includes at least one roll carrying a sleeve loosely on the barrel. The sleeve is inclined slightly by applying radially inward forces at two spaced positions along the outer peripheral surface of the sleeve to displace or to restrict displacement of the sleeve in the axial direction. The force applying points are independent of rotational direction of the sleeve, so that only one unit is needed even where there is reverse rotation. By controlling the relative value between the two forces, the mill can be given a powerful crown controlling capacity for workpieces of varying width, and the sleeve guiding unit is sufficiently durable to withstand high speed rolling during mass production.

    摘要: A body motion detector, to be attached to or carried by a user for detecting body motions of the user, uses a plurality of sensors each for detecting body motions in a specified direction to output a body motion signal according to the user's body motion. These sensors are disposed so as to detect the body motion in different directions. One of these sensors are selected by carrying out calculations on signals outputted from the sensors. The user's body motion is detected by using selectively output signals from the selected body motion sensor. The body motion detector may also include a component for detecting the orientation of the body motion detector itself from signals outputted from these sensors and another component for detecting the user's body motions by carrying out calculations on the signals outputted from these sensors, corresponding to the orientation as detected by the orientation detecting component.

    摘要: In an exercise machine, when a measurement starts, an electrocardiographic signal is detected by an electrocardiographic sensor 1 (ST33), a load drive is started (ST4), and heartbeat rate intervals of the electrocardiographic signal are sequentially obtained. A fluctuation of heartbeat rate intervals PI(n) % is obtained from a calculation formula in which the RR interval RR(n+1) of the current heartbeat is subtracted from the RR interval RR(n) of the previous heartbeat, which is then divided by RR(n) and multiplied by 100% (ST5). Entropy is calculated from 128 pieces of such PI (ST6). From the change of the entropy under the gradually increasing load (ST8), a minimum point of the entropy is obtained, which point is designated as an anaerobic threshold point (ST7). The load of the exercise machine is controlled employing this anaerobic threshold.

    摘要: The present invention relates to a process for producing a grain-oriented silicon steel sheet or strip, wherein the crystals of the steel sheet or strip have an orientation of {110} and, further, the steel is easily magnetized in the rolling direction.Since the slab-heating temperature for a grain-oriented silicon steel is considerably higher than that for low carbon steel grades, coarsening of the crystal grains is likely to occur during heating, and the coarse crystal grains are elongated during hot-rolling in the rolling direction and remain in the hot-rolled steel sheet as portions of the grain-oriented silicon steel strip or sheet, where secondary recrystallization becomes incomplete, or as so-called streaks.It is an object of the present invention to provide a novel hot-rolling technique capable of preventing the generation of streaks and capable of enhancing the magnetic flux density of the final product in terms of the B.sub.8 value even in a case where the tendency of streaks to form is small.The present invention is characterized in that during hot-rolling a silicon steel slap is subjected to at least one pass in which the axial lines of the top working roll and the bottom working roll are non parallel, and as a result of these working rolls being non parallel, the grain-oriented electromagnetic steel sheet or strip has no streaks and has a high magnetic flux density.

    摘要: In a process for the production of a grain-oriented electromagnetic steel strip, a slab is heated, hot-rolled, cold-rolled, and subjected to a decarburization annealing and secondary recrystallization annealing steps. Grain coarsening is likely to occur during the high temperature heating and remain in the final product as streaks. The secondary recrystallization is, therefore, incomplete due to the streaks. In order to remove this disadvantage, the work piece is subjected to at least two rolling passes, wherein the high circumferential speed roll of one pair of the rolls and the low circumferential speed roll of another pair of the rolls are arranged on the same side of the work piece.
