摘要: A fluid pressure passageway (14) such as a high pressure fuel line in a fuel injection system is pressurized to an upper predetermined value. Then, the passageway (14) is isolated and the length of time for the pressure to drop to a lower predetermined value is measured. The greater the degree of leakage, the shorter the measured length of time. An alarm (24) is energized when the measured length of time is shorter than a predetermined length of time.

摘要: A sensor (16) is connected to a high pressure line (13) in a fuel injection system for an internal combustion engine. The sensor (16) produces an output current which is proportional to the pressure in the line (13). The current is converted into a corresponding voltage and a displayed a voltmeter (21). An alarm is produced when the voltage exceeds a predetermined value or range. A second voltmeter (23) is energized to display the voltage when the alarm is produced.

摘要: A sensor (16) produces an electrical signal corresponding to the pulsating pressure in a high pressure fuel line (13) leading to a fuel injection valve (14), the pulsations being produced by opening and closing of the valve (14). The electrical signal and a reference signal are fed to a cathode ray tube display unit (18) to produce a Lissajous figure. The shape of the Lissajous figure indicates whether the Schnarren phenomenon is present and, if so, to what extent. The frequencies or amplitudes of the electrical signal and reference signal are compared to produce a signal indicating the difference therebetween which is fed to a digital display unit (22).

摘要: A reflective layer for reflecting light incident from a second substrate side and transmitting through a second electrode made of ITO or the like is formed above a first substrate, a switching element provided for each pixel, and an insulating film covering the switching element, the reflective layer being insulated from the switching element. A first electrode having a work function similar to the second electrode and made of a transparent conductive material such as ITO is formed more proximate to a liquid crystal layer than is the reflective layer and is connected to the switching element. The thickness of the first electrode is set to 100 Å or less or in a range approximately from 750 Å to 1250 Å. Alternatively, the switching element maybe connected to the reflective electrode, the first electrode and the reflective electrode which are formed with an insulating film therebetween may be capacitively coupled, and the first electrode may be driven by the reflective electrode via the capacitor.

摘要: An OCB mode liquid crystal display panel comprises a pair of electrode substrates, a liquid crystal layer which is held between the pair of electrode substrates and has liquid crystal molecules whose alignment state is controlled within a display area by a drive voltage applied from the electrode substrates, and a pair of alignment films which are disposed on the electrode substrates in contact with the liquid crystal layer and whose rubbing directions are set parallel to each other. The concentration of the impurity ions contained in that part of the liquid crystal layer which is located inside the display area is lower than the concentration of the impurity ions contained in that part of the liquid crystal layer which is located outside the display area.
