摘要: Continuous measurement of breathing impedance with extremely high precision is enabled by executing noise elimination. A loudspeaker 21 applies an air vibration pressure by an oscillation wave to an oral cavity, the oscillation wave being obtained by frequency-culling so executed that the oscillation wave has only the frequency component that is left after the culling is executed from a plurality of different frequencies and being generated by a pulse signal for pulse drive with pulses made positive and negative separately in correspondence to the time of exhalation and the time of inhalation. A pressure inside the oral cavity is detected and a breathing flow is detected, and a signal obtained by the detection is Fourier-transformed by a Fourier transforming means 32 to obtain a spectrum. A breathing high frequency component that contributes as a noise is obtained by an extracting means 33, using a spectrum that corresponds to a frequency component culled from the result of the Fourier transformation. This breathing high frequency component is subtracted from a spectrum that corresponds to a frequency component left by the culling to extract an oscillation wave component. Computing of dividing a pressure component by a flow component for each of frequencies for the result of this extraction is executed by a computing means 34 to obtain breathing impedance.

摘要: An apparatus and method for evaluating the degree of work comfort of a user is disclosed. A pair of sensors detect myoelectric potentials of a pair of bilaterally symmetrical muscles. A waveform processing unit generates a synchronous contraction waveform by either using the smaller value between signals from the two muscles at a given time, or by determining the geometric mean between the signals at a given time. An evaluation unit uses the intensity or frequency information from the synchronous contraction waveform to evaluate the user's level of comfort performing a task such as driving.

摘要: A work pleasantness evaluating device and method for evaluating the pleasantness of a work of any type such as steering of a vehicle by a driver. Myogenic potentials of a pair of muscles symmetrically present in a human body, produced by a myogenic activity of the human body during a work are measured and amplified. From the time-series waveforms of the pair of the amplified myogenic potentials, a synchronous contraction waveform of the pair of muscles is generated. From the information on the intensity of the generated synchronous contraction waveform or the information on the frequency at a predetermined intensity range, the level of the pleasantness of the work is evaluated. The synchronous contraction waveform is generated such that, for example, the time-series waveforms of the pair of myogenic potentials are full-wave rectified, and the rectified time-series waveform having the smaller signal value out of the rectified time-series waveforms at the same time is used as the synchronous contraction waveform.

摘要: Described herein are method and apparatus for producing instantly cookable pasta including various kinds of pasta and Chinese and Japanese noodles, and an encased instantly cookable pasta produced by such method and apparatus. According to the invention, part of raw dough of a starting mixture, which contains wheat flour as a major component, is subjected to preliminary steam-cooking, and then mixed with the remaining uncooked part of the starting mixture. The resulting mixture is then processed through shaping, steam-cooking and drying stages to obtain instantly cookable pasta, enshrouding the instantly cookable pasta product in a water-permeable casing before shipment. Due to suppression of thermal degeneration of gluten, the instantly cookable pasta possesses favorable resiliency and is free of the smell inherent to raw wheat flour and cohesion of individual pasta cords. In order to restore the cooked edible state, the encased pasta can be put in hot water together with the casing, permitting hot water to impregnate uniformly into the pasta. The water-permeable casing facilitates the handling of the pasta in cooking and improves its restorative quality to obtain cooked pasta of palatable touch and flavor.
