Abstract: Provided are an own-vehicle position estimation device and an own-vehicle position estimation method which are capable of estimating the position of an own vehicle with high accuracy, including not only one-dimensional distances of movement but also two-dimensional directions of cornering. There are provided a vehicle position estimation unit 2 for calculating the position of a vehicle based on an output from a sensor for detecting a behavior of the vehicle, a wireless position estimation unit 1 for communicating with a wireless device 101 installed at an arbitrary position and for calculating the relative positions of the vehicle and the wireless device 101, and a position estimation parameter correction unit 3 for correcting parameters used for calculating at least the position of the vehicle and information about the cornering angle of the vehicle by the vehicle position estimation unit 2. The position estimation parameter correction unit 3 compares an amount of movement of the vehicle calculated by the wireless position estimation unit 1 with an amount of movement of the vehicle calculated by the vehicle position estimation unit 2, and corrects the parameters.

Abstract: An electronic control device incorporated in a vehicle includes: a sensor detection information acquiring unit that acquires detection information from a first external environment sensor and detection information from a second external environment sensor, the first external environment sensor and second external environment sensor being incorporated in the vehicle; a sensor detection information integrating unit that specifies a correspondence relationship between an environmental element indicated in detection information from the first external environment sensor and an environmental element indicated in detection information from the second external environment sensor; and a sensor detectable area determining unit that determines a relationship between a relative position and a detection capability at the first external environment sensor, based on a state of detection by the first external environment sensor of an environmental element detected by the second external environment sensor, the state of detection being indicated in the integrated detection information, and that based on the relationship, determines a detectable area for the first external environment sensor.

Abstract: An object of the present invention is to provide a vehicle control device capable of avoiding the collision with an obstacle by performing an appropriate collision assessment and appropriate driving assistance having considered a detection error of the obstacle. The vehicle control device 100 includes a collision assessment unit 3 which assesses whether or not there is a possibility of an ego vehicle and an obstacle colliding with each other, and a driving assistance control unit 4 which performs driving assistance for avoiding the collision. The collision assessment unit 3 includes a region setting unit 31 which sets an ego vehicle region and an obstacle region, a location prediction unit 33 which predicts future locations of the ego vehicle region and the obstacle region, and an overlap assessment unit 34 which assesses that there is a possibility of collision when the ego vehicle region and the obstacle region overlap at the future location. The region setting unit 31 changes, on the basis of a moving speed of the obstacle, the size of the ego vehicle region and/or the obstacle region from the size of the ego vehicle and/or the obstacle, to thereby set the ego vehicle region and the obstacle region.

Abstract: The present invention sets an appropriate parking route according to a surrounding situation. A vehicle control device which controls traveling of a vehicle includes: a surrounding environment recognition unit which recognizes a surrounding environment of an own vehicle, detects a parking space, sets a target parking position and a travelable space; and a vehicle control unit which guides and controls the own vehicle to the target parking position in the travelable space. The vehicle control unit guides and controls the own vehicle to the target parking position without traveling the own vehicle in a space behind the target parking position.
