摘要： The present invention, which includes a USB interface for receiving recording data from an external processor by using a first logical channel of multiple logical channels thereof, a recording unit for recording an image on the basis of recording data, and the USB interface for connecting with the recording unit, transfers recording data to the recoding unit via the USB interface and causes the recording unit to record, while forbidding to receive the recording data from the external processor via the USB interface during a recording operation of the recording unit.

摘要： A computer readable design support program for inspecting a processing operation of software that controls a sheet conveyance mechanism by displaying the behavior of feeding a virtual sheet from a virtual sheet stock portion on a display portion, includes a sheets number setting procedure of setting the sheets number of virtual sheets stored in the virtual sheet stock portion, a sheet feed display procedure of displaying the behavior of feeding the virtual sheet from the virtual sheet stock portion on the display portion, a stored sheets number subtraction procedure of subtracting the stored sheets number of virtual sheets corresponding to the virtual sheet stock portion to which the virtual sheet is supplied in the sheet feed display procedure, a judgment procedure of judging whether or not the virtual sheet is used up in the virtual sheet stock portion where the stored sheets number of virtual sheets is subtracted in the stored sheets number subtraction procedure, and a paper out display procedure of displaying on the display portion the paper out on the virtual sheet stock portion for which it is judged that the virtual sheet is used up in the judgement procedure.

摘要： There is disclosed an image searching apparatus capable of searching an image stored in a memory medium, corresponding to a search image, selected from the plural search images registered in advance. The apparatus can generate a synthesized image, including the registered search images, together with marking areas, to be marked by the operator for selecting the search image, and prints the synthesized as a marking sheet which is to be marked by the operator and then read by the apparatus again, whereby the apparatus effects the image search, based on the marking provided on the marking sheet.

摘要： A document reading apparatus includes a document positioning plate configured to position a document, a carriage configured to move a light source along the document positioning plate, a reading unit configured to read an image of a document illuminated by a light source of the carriage, a white reference member provided in the displacement range of the carriage, an input unit configured to input a reading start instruction for a document, and a control unit configured to move the carriage along the document positioning plate in response to a reading start instruction input via the input unit. The control unit moves the carriage to a first position at which the white reference member is provided, cause the reading unit to read the white reference member, moves the carriage to a second position that is an acceleration start position for accelerating toward the reading start position of the document positioning plate, and waits for a reading start instruction input from the input unit.

摘要： An image reading apparatus which enables reduction of time to be taken from a job start instruction to a reading operation start. An automatic document feeder unit feeds an original. An upstream reader reads an image on one side of the original fed by the automatic document feeder unit. A downstream reader is disposed downstream of the upstream reader in an original feeding direction, to read an image on another side of the original. The upstream reader and the downstream reader read images of respective white reference plates, and the image reading apparatus generates correction data for the upstream reader and the downstream reader based on the images of the respective white reference plates read by the upstream reader and the downstream reader.
