摘要: Disclosed is an apparatus and method for controlling an air cleaning. The apparatus includes an air cleaning element, an AC high-voltage generator and a control unit. The air cleaning element generates negative ions and ozone using plasma discharge, and cleans indoor air using the negative ions and ozone. The AC high-voltage generator generates an AC high-voltage, and applies the AC high-voltage to the air cleaning element. The control unit varies at least one of the AC voltage and AC frequency applied to the air cleaning element by the AC high-voltage generator depending on a state of indoor air being cleaned using the air cleaning element. Therefore, it is possible to effectively generate negative ions while minimizing ozone generation to an acceptable level depending on a state of indoor air, thereby increasing air cleaning performance so as to sterilize and clean contaminants more efficiently.

摘要: Disclosed is an apparatus and method for controlling an air cleaning. The apparatus includes an air cleaning element, a current detector, an AC high-voltage generator and a control unit. The air cleaning element generates negative ions and ozone using a plasma discharge and cleans indoor air by the negative ions and ozone. The current detector detects a state of current passing through the air cleaning element. The AC high-voltage generator generates an AC high-voltage, and applies the AC high-voltage to the air cleaning element. The control unit varies a magnitude of the AC voltage applied-to the air cleaning element by the AC high-voltage generator depending on a current detecting signal received from the current detector. Therefore, ozone is adequately generated below a limit value depending on a state of indoor air, thereby increasing air cleaning performance so as to sterilize and clean contaminants more efficiently.

摘要: A surface discharge type air cleaning device comprises an insulating dielectric body formed in the shape of a sheet, and a discharge electrode and a ground electrode formed at one surface of the insulating dielectric body, the discharge electrode and the ground electrode being disposed in parallel with each other while the discharge electrode and the ground electrode are spaced a predetermined distance from each other. The discharge electrode has a plurality of pointed ends protruding toward the ground electrode. Consequently, electrical charge accumulation is prevented and continuous discharge is possible, even when a DC power source is used. In addition, entirely uniform and stable discharge at the surface of the dielectric body is accomplished, and therefore, the generated number of hydroxyl radicals and negative ions is increased while the generated amount of ozone is decreased. Also, discharge safety is increased, and therefore, air cleaning efficiency is improved.

摘要: A surface discharge type air cleaning device comprises an insulating dielectric body formed in the shape of a sheet, a discharge electrode formed at the upper surface of the insulating dielectric body, and a ground electrode formed at the lower surface of the insulating dielectric body. The discharge electrode is formed of a closed pattern having a predetermined area on the upper surface of the insulating dielectric body. The discharge electrode has a non-pattern part disposed in a pattern part where the pattern is formed. The electrode is not formed at the non-pattern part. The ground electrode is formed at a predetermined position corresponding to the non-pattern part. The area of the non-pattern part is reduced to decrease generation of ozone, and the area of the pattern part is enlarged to increase generation of negative ions and hydroxyl radicals. Consequently, the number of negative ions and hydroxyl radicals is increased while the amount of ozone is decreased, and therefore, air cleaning efficiency is improved.
