The apparatus includes a textured-region-detection unit to detect a texture region in an input image; and a final-image-generation unit to synthesize a first intermediate image and a second intermediate image, which are obtained by applying different interpolation techniques to the texture region and a non-texture region excluding the texture region and generating a final image.

摘要： Provided is a technology which can prevent deterioration of image quality when enhancing resolution of a predetermined key frame in a video sequence. Specifically, an apparatus to enhance resolution of a video frame is provided. The apparatus includes a frame extraction unit which extracts a key frame and one or more neighboring frames of the key frame from a video sequence; an upsampling unit which upsamples the key frame and the neighboring frames; a motion-vector search unit which calculates a motion vector of the upsampled key frame using the upsampled neighboring frames as reference frames; and a key-frame estimation unit which enhances quality of the upsampled key frame using temporal information obtained from the motion vector and spatial information in the key frame.

摘要： Provided are an image brightness control device and an image brightness control method for improving the definition of brightness of the entire image and/or improving the definition of brightness of local areas using local brightness information. The image brightness controlling device includes: a preprocessing unit acquiring an offset table for controlling a dynamic range corresponding to an image range of an input image using brightness values of color data of the input image; and a tone mapping unit mapping the offset table onto the color data. It is possible to improve the definition of brightness so as to correspond to the characteristic of the input image, by automatically considering how to reflect a distribution characteristic of an image.

The automatic white balance control imaging apparatus may include a color space conversion unit converting the input image data into color space data having a chromatic component, a gray region extraction unit extracting a gray region for the input image data based on gray regions for light sources, the gray regions being detected based on plural light sources and a predetermined color checker, a detection unit extracting initial light source information using a color gamut average value and a color gamut center value, and adjusting the initial light source information in order for a chromatic component introduced into the extracted gray region to be excluded, a gain control unit calculating gains to scale the input image data based on the adjusted initial light source information, and controlling a white balance by applying the calculated gains to the input image data.

摘要： A method is provided for reducing occurrence of color fringe errors occurred at the time of carrying out a color filter interpolation and reducing degradation of an image quality. Interpolation of a G channel value in a pixel of the color filter having only R or B channel values is carried out such that a similarity measured between channels based on interpolation results in horizontal and vertical directions are measured, and the G channel interpolation is carried out in a direction where the measured similarity becomes the maximized. However, when the reliability of the measured similarity becomes poor, a final G channel interpolation is carried out using a weighted average value using similarity information of each direction and interpolation results of the horizontal and vertical directions.
