A redundancy method, system, and apparatus, which can acquire first description information of a cloud application needing redundancy, where the first description information includes information about a source virtual machine and a source network which are used at a production site by the cloud application needing redundancy; and can generate second description information of the cloud application needing redundancy at a redundancy site based on the first description information that gives an overall description about the cloud application needing redundancy, where the second description information gives an overall description about the deployment of the cloud application needing redundancy at the redundancy site; and the redundancy site is capable of acquiring the second description information, to recover the cloud application needing redundancy at the redundancy site, thereby implementing redundancy based on a cloud application.

In a data backup method performed in a storage system having multiple storage devices, a first storage device having a first LUN queries data consistency points from a second storage device that has a second LUN which has an active-active relationship with the first LUN. The second storage device obtains the data consistency points based on the IO data status record of the first LUN and an IO data status record of the second LUN stored in the second storage device, and provides the data consistency points to the first storage device. The first storage device then creates a snapshot for the first LUN based on the data consistency points, provides differential data between the current snapshot and a previous snapshot, and stores the differential data in the backup storage device.

A data recovery method includes receiving a first physical address of a data block included in a to-be-recovered file sent by a server, searching in a recovery snapshot according to the first physical address of the data block included in the to-be-recovered file, obtaining a second physical address, in a resource volume, of a modified data block in the to-be-recovered file according to a correspondence between a first physical address of the modified data block and the second physical address, in the resource volume, of the modified data block recorded in the recovery snapshot, where the recovery snapshot is a snapshot volume used to recover the to-be-recovered file, and recovering, in the source volume, the to-be-recovered file according to the second physical address, in the resource volume, of the modified data block in the to-be-recovered file.

In a method for implementing data conversion in a cloud data center, a backup server receives a read request from a block storage server. The read request includes a uniform resource locator (URL) address of a to-be-read virtual image object on the backup server and an address range of target data in the to-be-read virtual image object. The backup server obtains an address mapping bitmap and a storage path of backup data in a backup replica corresponding to the to-be-read virtual image object according to the URL address. Thereafter, the backup server obtains the target data from a storage device according to the address range of the target data and the address mapping bitmap and the storage path. Further, the backup server sends the target data to the block storage server. Hence, the conversion time of a backup data object may be shortened.
