    Abstract: Methods, devices, and computer-readable media are provided that enable a reconfigurable intelligent surface (RIS) to shape a beam being redirected by the RIS for robustness whether the RIS is integrated at a transmitter, such as a base station or a user equipment (UE), or the RIS is a separate entity from the transmitter. An example method includes beamforming the signal to be transmitted, the beamforming comprising applying beam coefficients to a transmitter. The example method further includes determining configuration information for a reconfigurable intelligent surface (RIS) enabling modification of the signal that impinges on the RIS. The configuration information for the RIS pertains to beam direction, beam shape, and beam robustness of the redirected beam.

    Abstract: Carrier aggregation and dual connectivity leverage multiple component carriers to increase the effective bandwidth available to a given UE. Embodiments of this disclosure extend the concept of carrier aggregation and dual connectivity by using a physical component carrier and one or more virtual component carriers from one physical component carrier group and/or one virtual component carrier group, which have the same carrier frequency and carrier bandwidth as the physical component carrier, to transmit data streams to a user equipment. Data streams communicated over the physical component carrier and the virtual component carrier(s) may be orthogonal in the time domain or code domain. Alternatively, data streams communicated over the physical component carrier and the virtual component carrier(s) may be non-orthogonal, in which case the UE may need to decode the respective data streams using non-orthogonal signal processing techniques.

    Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure provide an over-the-air (OTA) interferometer that enables transmitting by a source and redirecting by a RIS, to a destination, one or more reference signals over multiple time-frequency resources. The time frequency resource may be time slots. In each time-frequency resource, phases of one or more reference signals may be modified. Signal strength measurements may be made at the destination during the multiple time-frequency resources and used to determine a phase difference between the reference signals received at the destination. Examples of different types of source and destination may be devices such as a base station, an access point, a transmit receive point (TRP) and user equipment (UE).

    Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure enable determination of a transmit beamformer used for data transmission. The determination of the transmit beam is based on beamformed reference signals (e.g., CSI-RS, SSB) transmitted by the transmitter, such as a base station, and received by the receiver, such as a UE. The receiver feeds back information based on an angle of arrival (AoA) of the beamformed reference signal to help the transmitter determine a transmit beamformer used by the transmitter to transmitter data to the receiver. In some embodiments, the feedback information may include a projection of an angle of arrival at the receiver of a propagation path have a strongest measures reference signal on a receive beamformer.     Abstract: Devices and methods are provided for receiving a first indication and a second indication, the first indication associated with a first set of transmission parameter information for a first repetition of data received in a Physical Downlink Shared Channel (PDSCH) and the second indication associated with a second set of transmission parameter information for a second repetition of data received in the PDSCH.     Abstract: Methods and devices for assigning sounding reference signals (SRS) resources to UEs in a wireless communication network are provided. Configuration information is sent to a UE, the configuration information pertaining to a first sequence identifier (ID) to be used by the UE to generate a plurality of SRS sequences to be sent by the UE as at least part of a first SRS. Each SRS sequence of the plurality of SRS sequences is a function of a respective SRS sequence root that is a function of the first sequence ID. The first sequence ID may be a UE-specific sequence ID that is a function of a UE-specific ID associated with the UE, such as a Cell-Radio Network Temporary Identifier (C-RNTI).
