A video quality assessment method includes obtaining a video quality assessment parameter of a to-be-assessed video, where the video quality assessment parameter of the to-be-assessed video includes an average packet loss gap of the to-be-assessed video, determining packet loss dispersion of the to-be-assessed video based on the video quality assessment parameter of the to-be-assessed video, and determining quality of the to-be-assessed video based on a packet loss rate of the to-be-assessed video, an average consecutive packet loss length of the to-be-assessed video, the packet loss dispersion of the to-be-assessed video, and attribute information of the to-be-assessed video.
Abstract:
A faulty link detection method includes receiving statistical data that is reported by all nodes every preset quantity of packets that carry a program clock reference value. All the nodes collect statistical data starting from a unified program clock reference value. The quantity of packets lost between an upstream node and a downstream node among all the nodes is acquired according to the statistical data. A faulty link is determined according to the quantity of packets lost between the upstream node and the downstream node.

The present invention discloses a method, an apparatus, and a system for implementing video quality assessment. When video quality is assessed, a proportion of a damaged data caused by packet loss in a video frame in which the damaged data is located is considered, and other factors are also considered, such as a position of the damaged data in the video frame and impact of a scene in which the video frame is located on the video frame or a video frame located after the video frame. Therefore, accuracy of quality assessment is higher.

An OTT video monitoring apparatus intercepts a message sent by an OTT video terminal to an OTT video source for requesting to watch an OTT video; sends a response message to the OTT video terminal, where the response message carries a monitoring instruction, so that the OTT video terminal obtains identifier information of the OTT video according to the monitoring instruction; the OTT video monitoring apparatus obtains the identifier information of the OTT video from the OTT video terminal; and monitors quality of the OTT video according to the identifier information of the OTT video.

A serving method of a cache server relates to the field of communications, and can reduce bandwidth consumption of an upstream network and alleviate network pressure. The method include: receiving first request information sent by multiple user equipments, where the first request information indicates data separately required by the multiple user equipments and request points for the data separately required; if it is determined that same data is indicated in the first request information sent by at least two user equipments among the multiple user equipments and the same data has not been cached in the cache server, selecting one request point from request points falling within a preset window; and sending second request information to a source server, where the second request information indicates the uncached data and the selected request point.
