    摘要: Apparatus and method are disclosed for selecting a transmit antenna diversity scheme according to a variation speed of a fading channel in a mobile communication system. A user equipment (UE) estimates a channel response of a pilot channel by receiving a pilot channel signal from a Node B; estimates a variation speed of a fading channel by using the estimated channel response and determining a transmit antenna diversity scheme suitable to the variation speed of the fading channel; and transmits feedback information including the determined transmit antenna diversity scheme to the Node B, so that the Node B can determine a transmit antenna diversity scheme for a channel signal to be transmitted to the UE based on the transmit antenna diversity scheme information included in the feedback information. In this way, the Node B adaptively applies a transmit antenna diversity according to a channel condition.

    摘要: An apparatus and method for assigning sub-carriers in an orthogonal frequency division multiplex (OFDM) system are disclosed. In the apparatus and method, data is transmitted through at least one transmit antenna. At least two sub-carriers in a predetermined frequency band are assigned to a user equipment (UE), for data transmission. A Node B groups sub-carriers available to the OFDM system into sub-carrier groups, each having at least two sub-carriers, transmits data to the UE on sub-carriers in the sub-carrier groups, selects at least one sub-carrier group for the UE based on channel condition information about each of the sub-carrier groups received from the UE, and assigns the selected sub-carrier group to the UE.

    摘要: An apparatus and method for assigning sub-carriers in an orthogonal frequency division multiplex (OFDM) system are disclosed. In the apparatus and method, data is transmitted through at least one transmit antenna.     摘要: In a mobile communication system, receivers measure channel characteristics using a received reference channel signal. The receivers determine a weight which has orthogonality with respect to each of a preset number of weight vectors in the mobile communication system and has the highest signal-to-interference-and-noise ratio, and feedback the weight and the corresponding signal-to-interference-and-noise ratio to the transmitter. The transmitter interprets the feedback information output from the receivers and determines receivers having feedback information which are orthogonal to each other and have the maximum throughput as an addition capacity when transmitted simultaneously, and determines weights based on the feedback information of the receivers having the maximum throughput. By applying the determined weights to the antennas using a well-known beam forming scheme, data can be transmitted to each of the determined receivers. Therefore, the present invention can maximize the efficiency in transmission capacity even with a simple transmitting and receiving structure.

Transmission frames each have a plurality of time slots, and each of the time slots includes two data parts having the same length, a midamble intervening between the data parts, and a guard period for dividing the consecutive time slots. The transmission apparatus modulates the frames into a radio signal with a modulation signal and transmits the modulated radio signal using a plurality of antennas. A power amplifier amplifies the radio signal. A controller generates a switching control signal in a guard period of time slots of a frame associated with the radio signal amplified by the power amplifier. A switch switches the amplified radio signal from the power amplifier between a first and a second antenna in response to the switching control signal.

    摘要: Provided are a mobile communication apparatus including an antenna array and a mobile communication method. The mobile communication apparatus has a base station and a mobile station. The mobile station measures the downlink characteristics, detects physical space information and approximate long-term information, produces short-term informatio, transforms the short-term information and the physical space information into a feedback signal, and transmits the feedback signal to the base station. The base station receives the feedback signal, extracts weighted information, beamforms dedicated physical channel signals, combines pilot channel signals with the result of the beamforming, and transmits the results of the combinations to the mobile station via the antenna array. The physical space information denotes space information about the location of the mobile station with respect to the base station, and the approximate long-term information denotes long-term information. Accordingly, degradation of the performance of communications caused by a great amount of information to be fed back station can be prevented while keeping a beamforming gain.
