Abstract: An apparatus and system to enable URLLC PUSCH repetitions in the unlicensed spectrum are described. The number of consecutive PUSCH repetitions indicated in the RRC parameter is reinterpreted as the number of transmission occasions over which the UE is able to attempt CCA. An orphan symbol is used to provide a DMRS transmission or cyclic prefix of the PUSCH transmission causing the orphan symbol. Whether a CG-UCI is piggybacked in a PUSCH transmission, and whether DCI-DFI is used, is dependent on whether cg-RetransmissionTimer is configured.

Abstract: Technology for a Next Generation NodeB (gNB) configured to operate in an unlicensed narrowband Internet of Things (U-NB-IoT) system is disclosed. The gNB can encode a system information block type 1 (SIB1) for transmission to a user equipment (UE) on band 54. The gNB can perform channel switching from band 54 to a selected sub-channel in band 47b at a selected switching point. The gNB can encode data for transmission to the UE during a data dwell on the selected sub-channel in band 47b.

Abstract: A generation node B (gNB) for a fifth-generation (5G) new radio (NR) or a sixth-generation (6G) network is configured for slot-less operation at frequencies above a 52.6 GHz carrier frequency. The gNB may generate signalling to configure a user equipment (UE) with a gap between demodulation reference signal (DMRS) symbols for an associated physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH). The gNB may also encode the DMRS symbols for transmission in accordance with the gap and may encode the associated PDSCH for transmission during the gap between the DMRS symbol transmissions at symbol times following the DMRS symbols.

Abstract: An apparatus and system to permit a UE idle or inactive mode to operate as an URLLC initiating device operating in a shared spectrum in a PRACH procedure are described. The UE receives a gNB control signal that contains an indication that the UE is able to operate as an initiating device and in response transmits a physical random access channel (PRACH) message within a Fixed Frame Period (FFP) of the UE. Transmission of the PRACH message is contingent on non-overlap of the PRACH message transmission with the idle period of a gNB FFP.
