Abstract: This disclosure describes systems, methods, and devices related to service set compression. A device may determine a wake-up frame comprising one or more fields, wherein the one or more fields indicate an action to be taken on a receiving device. The device may determine an identifier to be indicated in the wake-up frame. The device may determine a size of the identifier. The device may cause to compress the identifier forming a compressed output, wherein the identifier is compressed by applying a cyclic redundancy code (CRC) computation. The device may identify a portion of the compressed output. The device may cause to send the wake-up frame to a receiving device, wherein the wake-up frame comprises the portion of the compressed output based on the size of the identifier.

Abstract: Some demonstrative embodiments include apparatuses, devices, systems and methods of communication over a 6 Gigahertz (GHz) wireless frequency band. For example, an apparatus may be configured to cause a licensed 6 GHz wireless communication device, which is licensed by a regulatory authority to communicate over a wireless communication channel in the 6 GHz wireless frequency band, to detect in a transmission over the wireless communication channel in the 6 GHz wireless frequency band an identifier of an unlicensed 6 GHz wireless communication station (STA), which is not licensed by the regulatory authority to communicate over the 6 GHz wireless frequency band; and to send a report comprising the identifier of the unlicensed 6 GHz STA.

Abstract: Methods, devices, and systems for retransmission of wake-up signals from a first station to a second station over a wireless network are disclosed. In some aspects, a wake-up signal is encoded for transmission to the second station. While the first station is waiting for an acknowledgment of the wake-up signal from the second station, the second station may retransmit the wake up signal and/or encode a packet for transmission to a third station. In some aspects, whether the wake-up signal is retransmitted is based in part, on at least one of whether a number of timeout events for wake-up signals transmitted to the second station exceeds a maximum timeouts threshold, whether a number of wake-up signals transmitted to the second station exceeds a maximum wake-up signals threshold; or whether a maximum predetermined elapsed time since a first wake-up signal was transmitted to the second station is exceeded.

Abstract: Embodiments of a high-efficiency WLAN (HEW) master station and method for communicating in accordance with a scheduled OFDMA technique on secondary channels are generally described herein. An access point is configured to operate as part of a basic-service set (BSS) that includes a plurality of high-efficiency WLAN (HEW) stations and a plurality of legacy stations. The BSS operates on a primary channel and one or more secondary channels. In accordance with some embodiments, the access point may communicate with one or more of the HEW stations on one or more of the secondary channels in accordance with a scheduled OFDMA communication technique when the primary channel is utilized for communication with one or more of the legacy devices.

Abstract: Apparatuses, methods, and computer readable media are disclosed. A HE station may include circuitry. The circuitry may be configured to: generate a HE packet with a short preamble format or a long preamble format, wherein the HE packet comprises one or more legacy signal (L-SIG) fields followed by one or more HE signal fields (HE-SIG) and an HE long-training field (HE-LTF); and configure the HE packet to indicate whether the HE packet is configured with the short preamble format or the long preamble format. The HE packet may be configured with the short preamble format or the long preamble format based on one from the following group: a symbol after the L-SIG fields, a L-SIG polarity of a repeated L-SIG, a number of times the L-SIG fields is repeated, or a length field of one of the one or more L-SIG fields.

Abstract: A high-efficiency wireless local-area network (HEW) device including physical layer and medium access control layer circuitry is disclosed. The physical layer and medium access control layer circuitry may be configured to encode data with a binary convolutional code (BCC) to generate encoded data, and interleave the encoded data in accordance with one of a plurality of interleaver configurations for one of a predetermined number of data subcarriers to generate interleaved encoded data. The physical layer and medium access control layer circuitry may be further configured to map the interleaved encoded data with a quadrature amplitude modulation (QAM) greater than 256 QAM onto longer-duration orthogonal frequency division multiplexed (OFDM) symbols, and transmit the longer-duration OFDM symbols on channel resources in accordance with an orthogonal frequency division multiple access (OFDMA) technique. The channel resources may be resource allocations with each resource allocation including the one of the predetermined number of data subcarriers.

Abstract: Apparatuses, computer readable media, and methods for indicating a resource allocation are disclosed. An apparatus of a high-efficiency wireless local area network (HEW) master station is disclosed. The HEW master station includes circuitry configured to generate a resource allocation for HEW stations, where the resource allocation includes a group identification and an index into a table. The circuitry is further configured to transmit the resource allocation to the HEW stations. The table may be a permutation table that indicates a sub-channel of a bandwidth for each of the HEW stations. The HEW master station may be configured to operate in accordance with orthogonal frequency division multi-access (OFDMA). The resource allocation may be part of a trigger frame that includes a duration for an uplink or downlink transmission opportunity, and the circuitry may be further configured to transmit data to the HEW stations in accordance with the resource allocation.

Abstract: Embodiments of master station and method for high-efficiency WLAN (HEW) communication are generally described herein. In some embodiments, the master station is configured for HEW communication in accordance with an IEEE 802.11ax technique. The master station may transmit an indication to one or more of a plurality of HEW stations to indicate which one of a plurality of 20 MHz channels to monitor for a HEW signal field. The master station may configure the HEW signal field to indicate which of a plurality of subchannels of the indicated 20 MHz channel is allocated to the HEW stations for communication. The master station may transmit the configured HEW signal field in the indicated one of the 20 MHz channels and may communicate with the HEW stations on the indicated subchannels in accordance with an orthogonal-frequency divisional multiple access (OFDMA) technique.

Abstract: Embodiments of a communication station and method for communicating in a wireless network are generally described herein. In some embodiments, the communication station may be configured to communicate orthogonal frequency division multiplexed (OFDM) symbols on channel resources in accordance with an orthogonal frequency division multiple access (OFDMA) technique during a control period. Components of a wireless station may obtain a set of dynamic patterns, where members of the set define a sequence of resource units for the wireless network. The components may receive a data unit from an access point of the wireless network, the data unit including a group designation for the wireless station. The components may select one of the set of dynamic patterns based on the received group designation and communicate on the wireless network using resource units specified by the selected dynamic pattern.
