    Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatuses for use in wireless communication are disclosed. A method performed by a wireless transmit/receive (WTRU) unit may compromise: receiving information indicating a first tracking area code (TAC) and first TAC validity time information; registering with a network using the first TAC; receiving information indicating a second TAC and second TAC validity time information; determining, based on the first TAC validity time information and the second TAC validity time information, a time period wherein both the first TAC and second TAC are valid; selecting a time within the time period; and transmitting, at the selected time, a connection request.

    Abstract: A WTRU may receive downlink control information (DCI) from a first transmission/reception (TRP). The DCI may indicate that the WTRU is to transmit a physical random access channel (PRACH) transmission. The DCI may include an indication of a preamble, an indication of a first PRACH mask, and/or an indication associated with a first synchronization signal block (SSB), and/or an indication of a reference signal (RS). The WTRU may be configured to transmit the preamble, to a second TRP, the preamble in a first PRACH resource. The first TRP and/or the second TRP may be associated with a same physical cell identity (PCI). The WTRU may receive, from the second TRP, a first response to the preamble. The first response may include a first timing advance (TA) command for the second timing alignment for transmission to the second TRP and/or an index indicating the second TRP.

    Abstract: Methods for resource efficient data transmission are described herein. A method may comprise operating in one of an idle or an inactive mode and transmitting, in response to a random access (RA) message or a configured grant (CG), a small data transmission over an uplink channel.     Abstract: A method and apparatus for receiving a broadcast configuration indicating when a change in a RAN function termination occurs is provided, for example, by a timer value. The broadcast configuration may be received from a satellite, blimp or other moving transmitter. A dedicated configuration may also be received from the serving cell. The dedicated configuration may include a preamble, a transient configuration and an indication of a layer 2 behavior. If a WTRU detects a change in RAN function termination, the WTRU may suspend any uplink data transmissions, apply the transient configuration and transmit the preamble to a target cell. The WTRU may synchronize with the target cell and apply the layer 2 behavior.

The WTRU may determine a feature combination associated with the WTRU. The WTRU may determine a set of preambles based on the feature combination associated with the WTRU. The set of preambles may include multiple subsets of preambles, for example, a first subset of preambles associated with the first RO of the associated ROs and a second subset of preambles associated with the second RO of the associated ROs. The WTRU may transmit a first preamble of the first subset of preambles on the first RO of the plurality of associated ROs and a second preamble of the second subset of preambles on the second RO of the plurality of associated ROs.
