    Abstract: A method and system determine a potential impact from software upgrades on a computing device. A device configuration is identified for a first computing device based on the software and hardware elements currently present. Other computing devices are identified in the network having installed the software application upgrade. A history of operating behavior associated with the software application upgrade is retrieved. The profile is analyzed for each of the other computing devices for conflicts with the software application. A determination is made as to whether the software application upgrade will potentially cause a failure in the first computing device based on the history of operating behavior associated with the software application upgrade and based on a state of similarity between the analyzed profile for each of the other computing devices and the profile of the first computing device. The end user is presented with a risk-based recommendation.

    Abstract: Method, apparatus, and computer program product are provided for verifying location using sound. In some embodiments, location data representing an unverified location of a first electronic device are received. Audio data generated based on sound detected by a sensor of the first electronic device during a predetermined time are received, as well as audio data generated based on trusted sound detected by a sensor of a second electronic device during the predetermined time, wherein the second electronic device is located near the unverified location of the first electronic device, and wherein the trusted sound includes one or more frequencies inaudible to humans (e.g., infrasonic and/or ultrasonic sound). The audio data generated by the first and second electronic devices are analyzed and a similarity score representing a similarity between the respective audio data is generated. The unverified location of the first electronic device may be verified based on the similarity score.

    Abstract: An example operation may include one or more of storing, via a master chain, partition information that links together storage across a plurality of blockchains, receiving a request to execute a blockchain transaction from a client, determining whether the blockchain transaction is associated with data stored on one blockchain or data stored separately on different blockchains based on the partition information stored on the master chain, and, in response to a determination that the blockchain transaction is associated with data stored separately on different blockchains, identifying, via the master chain, a location of each blockchain from among the different blockchains and transmitting the locations to a system configured to perform the blockchain transaction.

    Abstract: Techniques for secure electronic collaboration among parties to provide dynamic cyber insurance are disclosed. A profile describing information technology (IT) infrastructure for an entity is retrieved from an electronic distributed ledger. At least a portion of the profile is provided to a risk evaluator using the electronic distributed ledger. A cyber security risk evaluation associated with the profile is retrieved from the electronic distributed ledger. A request for cyber insurance from the entity is received. Cyber insurance parameters for the entity are determined automatically, using a computer processor, and based on the cyber security risk evaluation. The entity acquires cyber insurance based on the determined cyber insurance parameters.
