Abstract: A computer-implemented method of decoding video data in multiple resolution formats includes receiving an encoded video stream including a salient data and a non-salient data, the salient data having a higher resolution format than the non-salient data. The video stream is decoded into the non-salient data in a lower-resolution format and the salient data in the higher-resolution format. The non-salient data is reconstructed to a higher resolution format. The salient data and the reconstructed non-salient data are combined to form a video stream in the higher-resolution format of the salient data.

A computer system uses structured lights to acquire skin information, the skin information being associated with at least one affected area of the skin. Abstract: A method and system determine a potential impact from software upgrades on a computing device. A device configuration is identified for a first computing device based on the software and hardware elements currently present. Other computing devices are identified in the network having installed the software application upgrade. A history of operating behavior associated with the software application upgrade is retrieved. The profile is analyzed for each of the other computing devices for conflicts with the software application. A determination is made as to whether the software application upgrade will potentially cause a failure in the first computing device based on the history of operating behavior associated with the software application upgrade and based on a state of similarity between the analyzed profile for each of the other computing devices and the profile of the first computing device. The end user is presented with a risk-based recommendation.

Abstract: Method, apparatus, and computer program product are provided for verifying location using sound. In some embodiments, location data representing an unverified location of a first electronic device are received. Audio data generated based on sound detected by a sensor of the first electronic device during a predetermined time are received, as well as audio data generated based on trusted sound detected by a sensor of a second electronic device during the predetermined time, wherein the second electronic device is located near the unverified location of the first electronic device, and wherein the trusted sound includes one or more frequencies inaudible to humans (e.g., infrasonic and/or ultrasonic sound). The audio data generated by the first and second electronic devices are analyzed and a similarity score representing a similarity between the respective audio data is generated. The unverified location of the first electronic device may be verified based on the similarity score.

Abstract: Automatically capturing information and performing content searching may include extracting features from data content, for example, captured via an image capturing device or by another method. Features extracted from the data content are structured into an ontology graph representing keywords and contextual relationships. Search queries are generated based on the ontology graph, by inputting the ontology graph to a query generating machine learning model trained to predict one or more search queries. The search queries are executed and one or more search results are presented on a user interface, for example, a display device. Based on received feedback on the search results, the machine learning model is retrained.

Abstract: Techniques for secure electronic collaboration among parties to provide dynamic cyber insurance are disclosed. A profile describing information technology (IT) infrastructure for an entity is retrieved from an electronic distributed ledger. At least a portion of the profile is provided to a risk evaluator using the electronic distributed ledger. A cyber security risk evaluation associated with the profile is retrieved from the electronic distributed ledger. A request for cyber insurance from the entity is received. Cyber insurance parameters for the entity are determined automatically, using a computer processor, and based on the cyber security risk evaluation. The entity acquires cyber insurance based on the determined cyber insurance parameters.
