摘要: A terminal, system and a method for transmitting voice from the terminal to at least one other terminal over a network. Voice is transmitted in first packets, and control information is transmitted in second packets. A bearer service is reserved from the network for transmission of the first and the second packets. In the terminal, voice activity is detected to determine whether there is voice or silence, wherein detected silence is used for transmitting at least one of the second packets.

摘要: An approach is provided for determining the existence of an event based on information collected from mobile devices. Reception is caused, at least in part, of media from a plurality of mobile devices. A plurality of event vectors for the respective mobile devices is determined. Each of the event vectors includes geo-location information and timing information of the corresponding mobile device. The existence of the event is determined based on the received media and the event vectors.

摘要: This invention relates to a method, system, transmitter, network element, receiver and software application for a system capable of point-to-multipoint transmission, where one or more data packets are transmitted from a transmitter to one or more receivers, where at least at one specific receiver of said receivers, a reception of repair data packets is required, where repair information is signaled to a repair server in order to trigger a transmission of the repair data packets, and where the repair information comprises information related to the number of transmitted data packets correctly received at the specific receiver. The system may for instance be the 3GPP Multimedia Broadcast Multicast System, the transmission of data packets may for instance be controlled by the File Delivery Over Unidirectional Transport protocol and the signaling of the repair information may for instance be controlled by the Hypertext Transfer Protocol.

摘要: A hybrid-padding approach for arranging variable size data packets for error correction encoding and decoding is disclosed. The approach can involve arranging the data packets in columns and rows and selecting the row size to minimize the amount of padding required. If data packet is smaller than the number of rows the data packet is inserted into the column and the remaining rows are padded. If the data packet is larger than the number of rows, the data packet is allowed to span multiple columns with the last column being padded if necessary. The data packets can include parameters, such as a source block number, packet length, and starting column number, and the error correction packets can include parameters, such as, a source block number an N, a K, the starting column number, and the number of row, to signal the hybrid-padding message.

摘要: A method in a communication system, a communication system and a communication device wherein in the method media streams are transmitted from a sending communication device to a receiving communication device at least partly via a wireless communication network. At least one media stream is selected to be transmitted to the receiving communication device. QoS requirements for transmitting the selected at least one media stream are defined, transmission resources are reserved from the wireless communication network for the transmission of at least one media stream, and a setup procedure is performed between the receiving communication device and the sending communication device for activating the one packet data transmission connection.
