    摘要: A Call State Control Function (CSCF) and method of processing a call to a called mobile station (MS). The method is performed in all of the CSCFs in a third generation Internet Protocol (3G.IP) network. When an incoming call setup message such as a Fast Setup or Location Request message is received in the CSCF, the CSCF first determines with a relationship function, whether the CSCF is the Home CSCF for the called MS. If so, a first set of call processing steps are performed. If the CSCF is not the Home CSCF, the CSCF determines if it is currently serving the called MS. If the CSCF is the Serving CSCF, a second set of call processing steps are performed. If the CSCF is neither the Home CSCF nor the Serving CSCF for the called MS, a third set of call processing steps are performed.

    摘要: A method and a server are provided for transferring a multimedia session from a first terminal to a second terminal. The session having been set up, with the help of an application server, between the first terminal and a service network comprising a content server, a user of the first terminal enters a command to pause the session. A session identity is stored in the application server. The user then turns to the second terminal, which obtains the session identity from the application server. The second terminal can then send a request to the content server to resume the session, the session identity being used to specify to the content server which session is to be resumed.

    摘要: A method in a 3G.IP network of routing a call from an originating subscriber in an originating network to a mobile terminating subscriber roaming in a visited network, the mobile terminating subscriber having a home network that maintains location information for the mobile terminating subscriber. When the originating subscriber sends a call origination message to a gatekeeper in the originating network, the gatekeeper obtains location information from the home network for the mobile terminating subscriber. An IP address of a media gateway in the visited network (MGW1) is then obtained and provided to a media gateway in the originating network (MGW2). The IP address of MGW2 is then sent to the originating subscriber. Thereafter, the call is routed from the originating subscriber through MGW2 in the originating network directly to MGW1 in the visited network. An MSC Server in the visited network then routes the call to the mobile terminating subscriber.

    摘要: A Home Location Server (HLS) and method of processing an incoming real-time call to a Mobile Station (MS) in a hybrid radio telecommunications network having both second generation (2G) and third generation (3G) service nodes. When a request for location information for the called MS is received in the HLS from an interrogating switch where the incoming call originated, the HLS determines whether the called MS is located in a 2G Mobile Switching Center (MSC), or a 3G Call State Control Function (CSCF). If neither, the HLS concludes that the called MS is located in an Serving General Packet Radio Service (GPRS) Support Node (SGSN). A 3G flag, which is set in the subscriber profile when the MS registers with a 3G SGSN, is checked to determine whether the SGSN is a 2G SGSN or a 3G SGSN. If the SGSN is a 2G SGSN, the HLS informs the interrogating switch that the MS is not available for the real-time call. If the SGSN is a 3G SGSN, the HLS orders the SGSN to page the MS and determine whether the MS accepts the incoming call.

    摘要: A system and unified method of address resolution in an IP-based network. A Resolver determines whether an input address is a URL/URI, and if so, extracts a domain name. If the input address is an E.164 number, the Resolver converts the E.164 number into a domain name in ENUM format. The Resolver then sends a domain name query to a DNS which, if able, returns the IP address for either a Global MGCF or a destination server along with a supported Application protocol. If the DNS is unable to perform the translation, or the Application protocol returned is not supported by the requesting application, the Resolver sends a domain name query to an extended Location Server (LS) to obtain an IP address of a gateway function capable of interfacing with the destination server.

    摘要: Network nodes for an access network and a home network of a first UE are described for use when routing an originating call from the first UE in the access network including an IMS network. A network node receives a SIP INVITE message associated with the originating call from the first UE, and including a called party number associated with the call. It determines whether the first UE is visiting the access network and whether the called party number is associated with the access network. A query to a database is performed, the database comprising a plurality of called party numbers, as to whether the called party number is allowable for use in the access network when the UE is visiting and when the called party number is associated with the access network. Instructing the home network to route the originating call to the access network when a response from the query indicates the called party number is allowable for use in the access network. The home network receives the instruction and routes the originating call to the access network for further processing.
